OMG! I just recommended for anyone who loves American history to read anything by Alan Eckert. His books helped me in writing my Wilderness trilogy - INTO THE WILDERNESS (Fr/Indian wars) - INTO THE VALLEY (Revolutionary war) - and INTO THE PRAIRIE (Tecumseh). His books are REAL HISTORY told like novels and should be required reading for Jr. High and High School History classes. Better than any school text book can tell it. Rosanne Bittner

I have the feeling I have one of your books on the pile, but you have so many and the big green buttons are clogging up my browser and I can't look at see which one it is.
*pouts*
I'm trying to read as many books as I can set in 18th century Kentucky, and so far this one is shooting to the top of my favorites list. I've not read any of Eckert's other books, but I see them stacked on my nightstand in the future, that's for sure! :)
