❂ Murder by Death (murderbydeath) I know you can't put reviews in descriptions - but is a link to the book with price allowable? I think not, but thought I'd better check first.

ex: $.99 e-read on Kindle:http://tinyurl.com/6...

Lobstergirl I would certainly delete it. (That url takes me to mapquest, which I don't get. I hope I didn't just get malware or something.)

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments I think Jennifer accidentally truncated the TinyURL. However I would also delete it.

You need to refresh your paranoia gene.

Lobstergirl No idea what that means.

❂ Murder by Death (murderbydeath) I truncated it on purpose to avoid linking to a specific example on a GR author's page.

I deleted the reference (I also subsequently found out that the .99 cent price was no longer valid anyway).

:)

It means "Don't click on mysterious links".

No, I usually don't. But I have seen Jennifer post before and I assumed she wouldn't link to any malware, if she could help it.

:) - thanks, and I wouldn't. Sorry to cause confusion in the first place. I just didn't want to link directly to a GR author's book but did want to show the example to illustrate my question.

True, but she could have been in a really bad mood. Only joking. But mysterious links are STILL mysterious even if they have been (re)posted by someone you know and trust. Those of my friends who have been infected by viruses or trojans ALL blame their infection on something they received from a friend or colleague.

Paranoia should be a way of life on the Internet.
