Well the names are supposed to sybolize the unity of the couple, but one that really creeps me out is Peniss- Katniss and Peeta. UGH! Curse whoever came up with that name...

They are "ship" names, which is a combination of the two people in a couple's names. So, yes, Hinny. Or Garry, whichever you prefer.

Well, sometimes a pairing name just sticks, even if it sounds awkward. Hahaha. :'DBtw, when I was in my teens (let's say that was about 5-10 years ago) the character who 'topped' in a m/m fanfiction was always named first. I guess people rarely ever do that anymore. But it also served for pretty funny names. :D
