Bookkitten (collector of nice things) (thebookkitten) | 17 comments Hello fellow librarians,

I got a collectors edition of a pc game today which contains the complete book of Jeanne Marie le prince de Beaumont´s the Beauty & the Beast as a bonus feature.
My question is, what format is this book? Is it an ebook, a dvd book, a digital copy or something else?

I´d really like to file this edition to the data base.

Bookkitten (collector of nice things) (thebookkitten) | 17 comments But you can read it in-game, too.
You can print the regular pdf.-file and read it also in game, when you go to the bonus content....

vicki_girl | 2764 comments Where/how you read it is less important than how the book is formatted, IMO. I was just trying to establish if was a regular text novel, as opposed an "interactive" story. If it's a regular text novel, I would add it as ebook.

ETA: Another option from the drop-down menu is CD-ROM. Would that be applicable to your PC Game?

Bookkitten (collector of nice things) (thebookkitten) | 17 comments Unfortunately, pc dvd-rom with background music in game. *laughs*
It´s the original novel. The game itself takes place after the novel.

Hm, a special edition ebook, then? ok.

edit: Please add that to the librarian manual as well.

Doesn't seem like it's a common enough case for that.
