I have already tried Devil’s Kiss by Sarwat Chadda and Book Thief by Markus Zusak, but both ended up being duds for me. I did just download The Chosen One by Williams Carol Lynch and Dead Beautiful by Yvonne Woon, so I will listen to those next week at work. I have requested a bunch more, I'll try to get to them all.

Ripple (rippleofaqua) | 7 comments Alright, I'm sorry those were a dissapointment to you, I thought they were good. I'll try to think of some more-search a bit more around- till I can find something more aqin to your taste. You're really into the romances, are you not?

message 53: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments It is no problem KT, you don't have to get any more for me. I have no problem checking the others out. :)

I think that I am in the minority for The Book Thief, most people really liked it.

message 54: by Shannon Carly (new)

Shannon Carly (shannibal) | 24 comments Wow, I feel behind I haven't started my reading yet. I probably won't begin reading my recommendations until next week. I'm planning to read atleast read 4-5 books Heather chose for me. Or more if I can get'em :)

Fabiane Abreu (fabers) Finished Nevermore (Nevermore, #1) by Kelly Creagh .

WOW! What was that? It was NOT what I was expecting!

Really, REEEALLY liked it :D

I'll read the sequel Enshadowed (Nevermore, #2) by Kelly Creagh before going through the list again.

Thanks for the wonderful recs, Cindy!

message 60: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I listened to 2 from my list from KT, The Chosen One by Carol Lynch Williams , which was pretty good and Dead Beautiful (Dead Beautiful, #1) by Yvonne Woon , which was so so. I'll be checking out more of them as I get them from the library.

message 61: by Doruntina (new)

Doruntina | 9 comments I just finished Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews , as a recommendation from Colleen and gave it 3stars, it was good, though not what i expected. I think i'm going to go on with the next series. I'm going to start with the other recommendations as soon as i can.

I didn't like the first one, but each story gets better.

message 63: by Shannon Carly (new)

Shannon Carly (shannibal) | 24 comments I finished Widow’s Web (Elemental Assassin, #7) by Jennifer Estep a few days ago. I liked it, but not as much as the last book. I'm not sure if that was because I didn't care for the villian or because it was frustrating reading by lantern light. So thankful to have my electricity back!

message 64: by Ripple (new)

Ripple (rippleofaqua) | 7 comments I've got two books now! Bron at midnight, and Unearthly. Hope to finish one by soon- both look really good.

I'm in the middle of Bloodlust, but I'm struggling. Not Rowen's best. I get into it, but if I have to put the book down for any reason I don't pick it back up for days.

message 66: by Doruntina (new)

Doruntina | 9 comments I fishished Magic Bites and i couldn help but read all of the series cuz i loved it - mostly Curran -, I havent had the chance to start with any other book recommend it for me by Colleen but i will start today. When is the deadline?

Heather T (horrorvacui000) | 5931 comments Mod
You just have to read 1 book recommended to you by the end of November.

message 68: by Ripple (new)

Ripple (rippleofaqua) | 7 comments Eh, I already finished the book Unearthly, and now I'm trying to get into Born at Midnight- trying.

message 69: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 2770 comments I knocked off a couple more from KT. Pathfinder ended up being a dnf for me, but Revolution surprised me. I actually thought it would be another dnf, but I really liked it.

I think that is all that I will be reading. I did request the others, even had the books, but I kept picking them up opening them, but didn't read more than a page of two.

I am glad to have participated in this one because I read 4 books I wouldn't have and really liked 3 of them.

message 70: by Fabiane (new)

Fabiane Abreu (fabers) Anyone still doing this? Finished 2 more from the recs:

How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #1) by Molly Harper - Fun, but not as fun as I expected.

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater - LOVED it. Maggie Stiefvater is a genius!

I liked the first book. I was hoping this would be good, since it's the final book in the series. Only 2 books to a series seems a little strange though, like maybe the author just gave up on it....

I have 3 or 4 books I'm going to try and read before the challange ends.

Cindy (Squin) | 120 comments Hey Fabiane! I'm loving your recs!

Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater -- This was great, as I expected

On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews -- I'm almost done with this one, and I LOVE it. I'm so glad you told me about this series, I didn't even realize it existed and I LOVE the Kate Daniels series. I think Ilona Andrews may be my fave author :)

I'm still struggling through Bloodlust. I've made it to the beginning of Chapter 6.

Ripple (rippleofaqua) | 7 comments Finished Born at Midnight by C.C. Hunter. Wasn't that great, sorry. I'm saving up to go get Grave Mercy next, wish me luck!

At least you gave it a try, that is all that matters.

message 76: by Shannon Carly (new)

Shannon Carly (shannibal) | 24 comments Started Sins of the Heart (Otherkin, #1) by Eve Silver , which has been on my shelf for an obscene amount of time. Only about 40 pages in, so not sure what I think about it yet.

message 77: by Shannon Carly (new)

Shannon Carly (shannibal) | 24 comments Finished Sins of the Heart. It started off a little slow, but once the story picked up it was hard to put down.

Now reading Pride Mates (Shifters Unbound, #1) by Jennifer Ashley

I read Dime Store Magic (Women of the Otherworld, #3) by Kelley Armstrong . I REALY felt Elena should have killed Paige in Stolen, and I spent most of this book baffled no one had killed her yet. I listened to Dream Lake (Friday Harbor, #3) by Lisa Kleypas and really liked it. Lisa Kleypas is always good. I am currently reading Kitty Steals the Show (Kitty Norville #10) by Carrie Vaughn and am liking to so far. And I listened to Firelight (Firelight, #1) by Sophie Jordan and really enjoyed. Enough that I started the squeal but just set it down on my way home from work. I really really need someone to tell me she starts standing up for herself or I'm not sure I can continue.

In a month or so. I figure a lot of people get busy in December so I'll leave this month alone. Plus, there's a ton of challenges to get through for those who haven't already finished them.
