The Twilight Saga question

I think the reason it is strongly disliked is because a lot of people don't like the signs of an abusive relationship within it - that and Edward stalks her (not a good thing in 'real life' so why is it a good thing in this book!). The writing is also not brilliant when compared to other books of a similar genre.

Friends who do like the series say that they like it because it is an easy read and a nice little romantic story, whilst various people on here have said that it is the relationship building aspect that they like.
