SOLVED. 80s? childrens talking vegetables book? [s]

Hi, i'm trying to find the name of the author and the titles of the collection of books in the series. I just remember reading these when i was about 6 years old in the 80s and the author themselves was quite young - either a child or teenager themselves. I think it was a girl but can't be sure. the books covers i read were green or red (i think) hardback books and had the vegetables or fruit on the front. The vegetables were the characters in the book and i'm pretty sure there were no 'people' characters just talking fruit and veg.if anyone could help that would be great!

Veggie Tales? It had a tomato and i think a broccoli as the main characters.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion, I looked that up and it def wasn't veggie tales but it did help me find the collection of books I did want. Finally found it was the series called The Garden Gang by Jayne Fisher.

I grew up reading these. The books are Called "The Munch Bunch". There was Lucy Lemon, Scruff the Gooseberry, Spud, Billy Blackberry, Super Cool the Cucumber, Pippa Pear, Pedro Orange, Olly Onion, Wally Walnut, and Casper Carrot are all I can remember. Try Amazon They should have the whole set, or try B.Dalton Booksellers online. Another book your kids might like is Hooples On The Highway. be warned, it'll make you wanna take a road trip. :D
