Have you read any good Christian books and/or series recently? Have you read any series or books that aren't good for some reason? Please say it here!

I enjoyed Cindy Woodsmall's Sisters of the Quilt trilogy.

When the Heart Cries (Sisters of the Quilt, #1) by Cindy Woodsmall When the Morning Comes (Sisters of the Quilt, book #2) by Cindy Woodsmall When the Soul Mends A Novel (Sisters of the Quilt, #3) by Cindy Woodsmall

Other great Amish fiction I've read recently, by Suzanne Woods Fisher:

The Choice (Lancaster County Secrets, #1) by Suzanne Woods Fisher The Waiting (Lancaster County Secrets, #2) by Suzanne Woods Fisher The Keeper A Novel (Stoney Ridge Seasons) by Suzanne Woods Fisher

One I would NOT recommend is Francine River's Redeeming Love.
I know it was the story of a girl who was sold into prostitution, but really, the amount of detail Rivers provided was entirely TOO much. I heard such great things about this book and I was so disappointed with it.

I heard that she did that with her Mark of the Lion Trilogy too! Okay, yes, you want to see them be at the rock bottom of their lives and then be transformed by God but seriously, the detail just goes too far.

Yeah she was big in the secular romance genre before she turned to writing Christian fiction, and it shows.

It really does. Her books would be great if it wasn't for all the detail.

They just go into way too much detail.

Uh huh. I read the Mark of the Lion... well, 2 of the 3 books. Those were not as bad... if I recall correctly. I may not appreciate everything about it, but it does incorporate the message of redemption really well.

I want to read them, but I'll definitely wait until I'm older and that kind of stuff doesn't bother me as much.

Good idea. My mom actually kinda warned me about them, but I went ahead and read them anyway... meh. The historical aspect was awesome though.
