I have just finnished the 1st book in this series, The Mortal Instruments, City of Bones. I read the Clockwork (Infernal Devises)stories first then got the Mortal Instruments. I realise everyone else is probably way ahead of me with these, as they were out first. But really is Casssandra Clare trying to break my heart. Jace & Clary, brother & sister, what tha? I just can't seem to catch a break with the love story & the choice the author is going. I did guess when it seemed to be going in this direction & just kept praying as I read that it wouldn't. But there you go, I am now broken hearted for them, as I thought that Jace was just beginning to care truly for someone, his character is very Will like. So here I am again, broken hearted for these two, who now have to work out how to be family. Well just about to dive into the 2nd book ( I have them all, I wont start a series til I get them all. Sick of having half stories told.) hopefully there is some love in their lives, it's what I need in mine. Really love the adventure this writer takes me on, love the little snippets of humour as I'm a fan of good timing jokes & snappy one liners. But my heart is aching for someone to fall in love & I'm hoping in this the City of Ashes, we have some romance.

Just keep reading :)

As you read, you'll realize that Jace and Will are actually pretty different, although my initial reaction was that they were alike too.

As Gabby said, just keep reading ;) It gets better and better!

I have read up to the fourth book so far and that is the best book romance wise but it starts to get really good at the end of City of Glass so....yeah like Gabby said just keep reading

I am reading the fifth book right now. Am kind of sad about what's happening, but I reckon by the end of the book everything will be (mostly) happy again. If it isn't it probably will be something about what happens in the sixth book.
