Sarah I'm well into the 3rd book now. Oh my I don't know, but i'm thinking they are not related. Just that when the Inquisitor was killed protecting Jace she wanted to tell him something. I'm holding back from reading snippets of the following books & just trying to follow the correct order, but i'm right aren't I? No don't tell me i'm getting there. I love how the names of characters follow in these later books from the prequel clockwork books, ie Herrondale, Magnus Banes etc, this I love & keeps the connection going. It also makes me wonder who is the ancestors of the characters & the family connections. Another thing I'm loving is the sarcasm & jokes & one liners, find myself in stitches sometimes with laughter. But I have found myself crying a lot, even though i'm older than Clary, I have found a real connection to her character & so much want her to find the love that is missing in her life. She comes across so strong but we know she has so much heartache for all the aspects of her family & love life that are just not working at the moment. Praying for you Clary, I'm here for you.

Alexandra Apparently there's going to be a family tree in the back of Clockwork Princess that connects all of the known characters in the modern series to those in TID. It's going to be SO hard not to just look at the back of the book when I buy it!

Sarah I knew I was right about Jace & Clary. I've just finnished the 5th book & Oh my. They cannot leave the story there, there is no way it ends this way. Her Brother is such a twisted sicko, can't believe what he expects of Clary & trying to twist their love for his own gain. Such an action packed series, kept me turning the pages. Love Simon, his character is fantastic, I can see why he is Clary's best friend, easy. Jace is just to die for, what a ladies man he's turning out to be. But another of my favourites is Magnus Bane, I fell for him & his charms in the clockwork books & he's just as good in this series, hoping that him & Alec work things out for their future. I love the fact that all along I thought that Jace reminded me Of Will & fact is they are both from the same family line is fantastic. Lovely story, fantastic world, now waiting for more.
