O.K,. I had a breaking point this morning. I admit it, I was a nasty person, but I had just had enough. I wait every morning at my library for the doors to open at 9. I live very close by and by getting there first thing, I have not reason to sit at home and talk myself out of going. There are a group of us,ranging from 3-6 that stand outside everyday no matter what the weather. Are we nuts or dedicated? Who knows.

There is a clear sign right on the door telling you the hours they are open, like any other place of business. Today is very dark and it is raining. I was standing with a few others today and conversing with a regular, when some dip nut walks up to the door, bounces off it,and says "Why didn't it open?"

I lost it. I calmly, but I will admit, sarcastically replied, "Because they don't open until 9. Otherwise we all wouldn't be standing out here."

She replied, "What's your problem?" (sounding like there was more than coffee in her to go cup)

I not so nicely replied, "You." (Not yelling, just curtly.)

"I don't even know you. So what's your problem with me?"

"You're an idiot."

To which she sputtered, complained to the others how *rude* I was and then left.

Nobody else seemed bothered by me and I resumed my conversation. Now mind you, this is not the first time I have seen this happen. When you see a crowd of people standing in front of a door in inclement weather, or good, and no one is smoking, shouldn't this TELL you something? I mean really.

Should I have called her an idiot to her face? No, but it felt good. I am not one to tell people off like this, but I am getting sick and tired of this spread of idiocy and the idea that just because I'm a larger person that it's o.k. to jam your cart into my rear (just happened AGAIN yesterday!), cut in front of me in line, and say nasty things about my size like I'm deaf and then get angry with me when I defend myself!

Sorry, having a royally bad day and it's only 10:15......can't wait to go swimming.....I think I need it.
