HEY ALL! Just found out that Master of Crows is out of print in paper form, trying to find an easy non-DRM e-book way for everyone to purchase, or I'll switch the choice tomorrow, just HOLD UP on committing, sorry this is so weird, never could have predicted it was out of print!!!
EDIT:
Ok everyone so we can get this book at 2.99 at smashwords in a VARIETY of formats:
http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/...

Or you can get on Kindle and download the free Kindle App to read it on your PC or Mac or iPhone or iPad etc. We will SWITCH the main/alt but surely talk about both. Very sorry to anyone who purchased and is upset, I had no idea that something like this could happen! Will be sure to check next time, and hope everyone enjoys either/BOTH picks this month :)

David Peterman | 0 comments Thanks Felicia! Trying to check it out through the library!

Sile Enis (sileenis) | 16 comments Thanks for the heads up. I hope there's a cheap way to get it, it looks really good.

Christine (animecanuck) | 410 comments That's so weird! And thanks!!! :D

EDIT: I just downloaded the 30% sample... My Sony eReader doesn't tend to like the newer ePubs that are supposed to work on it. About switching *shrugs*. I have Poison Study on hold, or I might read it in person at this special Sci-Fi collection, that I can't take out of the library.

Gotobedmouse | 73 comments Thanks Felicia! Was getting really frustrated! Having a Nook is like having a Beta Maz instead of a VHS player

Mel (booksandsundry) (booksandsundry) Darn, knew I shouldn't have jumped the gun with purchasing.

Madison E. (madiemartin) | 231 comments I literally just purchased the Kindle book, but it's no biggie. It was on my TBR list already and the kindle edition was cheap ($2.99), but now I know why the paperback editions of the book were starting at $255.

Gotobedmouse | 73 comments Please make sure it is available on Nook and Kindle version :)

message 9: by David (new)

David Peterman | 0 comments Search it and the third link down took me to a page with a free e book.

message 10: by Evangeline (new)

Evangeline Begay-Sims (evesims) | 65 comments I just searched EPUB and "Master of Crows" and was able to download it from an EPUB site for my nook. I haven't been able to find any hard copies, though.

Or you can get on Kindle. The question is: Are you guys cool with having this be our pick even though some people might have to read it on their browser? I can switch the alt/main and keep the book I think since I found it DRM free, but the alt has way less sex. Opinions?

Angela (angelaburton) | 9 comments One place I saw was selling it for over $5,000 in paperback - ouch!

I'm cool with it. Though I prefer actual books, it doesn't look too long.

message 17: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (hexose) | 39 comments keep this book, first (of I hope many) that is just in e-book form!

Joelle (joelle_casteel) I'm excited for "Master of Crows" and don't mind reading it on my netbook.

It just looks too interesting to not keep. If people really want it, they find ways to get it.

Sarah (sflanagan19) | 127 comments It's fine with me!

message 21: by Gotobedmouse (new) - added it

Gotobedmouse | 73 comments So you all are saying that you have to have a e-reader in order to participate in this months book selection. Very Very Mitt Romney of you :)

message 22: by David (new)

David Peterman | 0 comments You can read it on your computer with an ereading program. I used the nook app, just a bit hard on your eyes.

Claire (cacromwell) | 221 comments Both of the picks were on my to-be-read list anyway, so I'm fine with either of them being the star! Just downloaded Master of Crows, and ordered the paperback of Poison Study (along with the second Lady Julia book, yay!)

NOOO you can read it on browser actually at that site. I want to make sure everyone is cool with it though. The alt book is amazing too but less sexy.

Karen | 7 comments Okay with me, but I already have a Kindle so it isn't going out of my way.

Claire (cacromwell) | 221 comments Gotobedmouse wrote: "So you all are saying that you have to have a e-reader in order to participate in this months book selection. Very Very Mitt Romney of you :)"

I have the Kindle app on my Android phone, so that's where I'll be reading it!

message 27: by Jensownzoo (last edited Sep 25, 2012 09:55PM) (new)

Jensownzoo | 10 comments I will probably skip the ebook (I can't read that much on the computer without headaches), but am looking forward to re-reading the alt.

Sarah (hexose) | 39 comments Gotobedmouse wrote: "So you all are saying that you have to have a e-reader in order to participate in this months book selection. Very Very Mitt Romney of you :)"

if you download a program for your computer you can buy an edition and read it on you computer

for example if you get a (free) copy of adobe digital edition and you get an epub version of the book you can read it that way - no e-reader required

I will take comments until tomorrow night and decide, I'm sorry guys I didn't even think to check! I will definitely double check in the future!

message 30: by Nott (new)

Nott | 3 comments It's fine if you keep it. Ive got it on my ipod, Ive got my reading for the month. :D

If you have an Idevice, you can read e-pub files in ibooks.

Melissa It's cool with me, but I have a Kindle. I also don't care if we swap the less sexytimes to main status.

message 33: by Julie (new)

Julie (subtleseasonings) | 88 comments Poison Study is one of my favorite books of all time. I've now read the entire series and some of the author's other series as well. Not a lot of sexy time but the writing is awesome and the character development is fantastic. I'm totally in love with the main guy in this, too.

Stacie (stacilly) | 2 comments I was able to get both books relatively easily. I originally voted for more sexy times, but I will read both books anyway.

message 35: by Lee (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lee (luneray) | 47 comments Gotobedmouse wrote: "So you all are saying that you have to have a e-reader in order to participate in this months book selection. Very Very Mitt Romney of you :)" You can get it as a pdf or html from the smashwords site. You don't need an e-reader.

Kelly Silva (kellysilva) | 9 comments I vote keep Master of Crows, more sexy time!

message 37: by Toni (new)

Toni | 66 comments i would really love a PDF so i can print it out...i don't have or want an e-reader....i'm also voting to switch the alt and the main since i reserved the alt at my library already!

Emily Kao Messmer | 20 comments I loved the Studies trilogy. Haven't read "Master of Crows" yet so will read it regardless of it being main or alt. Already bought it for my Kindle.

message 39: by Elizabeth (last edited Sep 25, 2012 11:26PM) (new) - added it

Elizabeth | 36 comments I'm planning to read both books. so I'm ok with either decision. Based on the description of Master of Crows, it looks like the relationship might be similar to Dianora and Brandin in Tigana

I am reading that book currently and I find it really interesting/confusing/conflicting that Dianora loves Brandin even though he destroyed her family and country. I think it would make great discussion if the hero and heroine in Master of Crows have similar issues in their relationship especially if it is based on love/mutual respect rather than lust. so if I had to choose, I would say keep it as the main pick

taranova | 25 comments I say keep it as the main pick.

Kirsten Bailey (klbailey) | 86 comments I'll be reading both anyway - Poison Study is one of my favourites so I might re-read that.

Molly (mollyrichmer) Doesn't matter to me. It'll probably take me longer to read on the computer, but I'd definitely give it a shot.

message 43: by JoAnna (new) - added it

JoAnna | 26 comments going to try my local library. thanks for picking my question for eternal pleasure!

message 44: by Diana (new)

Diana (dianagiovinazzo) master of crows isn't available on nook. I will look into downloading it tomorrow through the smashbook link. however, I LOVE Poison Study, I am so glad that is one of our picks!

message 45: by Dana (new)

Dana I love Poison Study! I wouldn't mind it being switched out. I'm not entirely certain I'll want to read Master of Crows since I would have to read it in my browser.

message 46: by Ashley (new)

Ashley H. (ashleydoogah) | 20 comments I just bought Master of Crows on the Kindle, but honestly, it's sooo inexpensive on Kindle ($2.99) that I vote for switching to Poison Study so everyone can enjoy the main book. Not out that much money purchasing Master of Crows, and I want to read both anyway!

message 47: by Serendi (new)

Serendi No big for me either way.

message 48: by Sharon (new) - added it

Sharon Patton | 12 comments I have the kindel app on my iPod so I'm fine with either. There's no way to predict that a book will be out of print and at least you caught it right away!!

message 49: by Rhapsody (new)

Rhapsody | 27 comments Perhaps switch the books to make it more easier for people. I am actually more interested in reading Poison Study anyway. However, I will probably still download Master of Crows since it is only $3.

message 50: by Marcia (new)

Marcia Mchale | 10 comments I'm cool downloading from another site to my Nook. Thank goodness it's not restrictive to the file types so long as it's not strictly kindle!
