This book among some other's have changed my perspective to life. Bullying is not an easy situation. I'm pretty sure many of the people who read this book have also been victims of bullying like my self. I would like to add a Thank you. With this book you have SAVED one of my friends life and mine. DarthVixReads R.J., you mention in your bio and in some of your interviews that you were a book designer before writing and publishing "Wonder" and that you didn't design the cover of your book but that you love it. I was wondering why you didn't design the cover of your book?

Allison | 2 comments Thanks, R. J. I REALLY appreciate your response. My brother is in college now, and I'm excited for him; He has improved majorly in his clases to get to his dream job. He's always gonna be my big brother AND my hero, someone I can look up to. Yes, my parents ARE proud of both of us. I'm one of those students who not wants, but NEEDS to get an A in ALL of my classes. My brother gets his A's in a snap.
I wasn't always confident, though. Let's just say that I like a certain football team(Michigan) they DIDN'T like. And I got teased because of it. Others who like Michigan don't understand why I stand up for myself, and didn't blend in the crowd. At the time, I already knew I was gonna be diiferent. The thing I wanted to do most was leave my mark, and I did. I stood my ground and I'm known for it. My parents taught me to defend what I believe in and be myself. And THAT is what I'm still doing today.
Another question; Why did Charlotte seem so well-natured with Auggie at first, then just plain out ignored him except for saying hi and bye?

(P. S. Sorry for such long posts. I tend to get emotional when it comes to subjects like these. I promised myself I would never let anyone feel like I felt without friends; Lonely and broken.)

Reina Castro (r_cgarzon) | 1 comments Hello. Ive read "13 Reasons why" a second time now, and I was definitely as intrigued as the first time. :) Will you tell us about what triggered you to write about the issue of bullying leading to suicide?

Meghan | 1 comments Hi, Jay! I've read "Thirteen Reasons Why" a few times now and I absolutely love it! My question for you is a lot like most others: What made you write about such a strong topic and why did you choose it? Also, I would like to know if you personally ever had any experiences with those thoughts and feelings dealing with suicide. Thanks!!! :)

Edelweiss Joy (_holabananaa) | 1 comments Hi! My name's Edelweiss and I have read "Thirteen Reasons Why". The book has really moved me since I also used to have thoughts about suicide. I was just wondering, why have you decided to write about suicide and the effects of bullying on teenagers? I mean, there are other things to write about, but why suicide? P.s. I can't wait for the movie adaptation of the book! (I heard you like Selena Gomez too, haha.) x
