Bridge to Terabithia

Just finished watching Bridge to Terabithia. I read the book and I lost part of my heart in the process.
Ugh. I don't know why I do these things to myself...

That movie is SAD! I never read the book (there were 2 options of books to read in grade 5 and I chose The Giver instead), but a friend of mine did and she was devastated after.

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson is one of the greatest books I've ever read, and I rank it number one among all Newbery Medal winners. Only a very select group of books (including Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata, Mick Harte Was Here by Barbara Park and The Lottery Rose by Irene Hunt) have ever impacted me like Bridge to Terabithia.

I was too! It's very devastating. I knew what happened in the book before I read it but I read it anyway. I don't think I've ever cries that much.

I love the running aspect of it. This book and Maniac Magee really make me want to run. Oh! And Chicken Boy.
