TTPBM: Do you like to read holiday romances?

message 1755: by Chris (new)

Chris | 7142 comments Mod
Yes, I love to read holiday romances! I especially love when an author puts out a holiday novella of characters from a series you love. It's like getting to visit your friends for the holidays.

TTPBM:

What is your favorite holiday tradition?

message 1762: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments Technically not a holiday, but sort of.....every year for the kids birthdays the night before we stay awake until midnight. Then we eat cake and open presents in the middle of the night. We started this about five years ago because we moved right before birthdays so they didnt have friends yet....we wanted it to be special so we made a huge deal about it just being us and how important that is.....anyway we have been doing it ever since!! This year we did allow our oldest to invite one friend to our midnight celebration.

TTPBM: SAME(You guys have great questions)

Mine is one from my childhood. We used to go to my grandmother's in Idaho for Christmas. We would always watch The Sound of Music together. I love many of the ones from my own family today, but that one is special to me.

TTPBM: Book from 2018 that Everyone should read??

message 1774: by Chris (new)

Chris | 7142 comments Mod
I'd say The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas , but that is a 2017 book I read in 2018, so All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover has a great message for people to read.

I don't listen to many audiobooks (i'm such visual person, i get distracted when listening to audiobooks) The only time that I listen to audiobooks is when I am mowing grass, I have listened to many Kristen Ashley's books via audio and her narrator is usually good but I don't have a preference...sorry :)

TTPBM: What would you see is your top read of 2018?

message 1777: by Deanna (new)

Deanna (anovelglimpse) | 6025 comments Mod

TTPBM: Same ?

message 1778: by Vega_girl (new)

Vega_girl | 6624 comments It has to be All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover

message 1780: by Karen (new)

Vega_girl wrote: "*** How do you check most read for 2018??? I can check most read but I don't think it's accurate for this yeae***"

I don't know how anyone else did it, but I have a category for each year to keep track of what I'm reading. Last year was read in 2018. I chose that category and went through it. I think you could also choose by date read at the top of your books and then scroll by author or something.

Vega_girl wrote: "*** How do you check most read for 2018??? I can check most read but I don't think it's accurate for this yeae***"

I sorted by date read and then counted how many books i read by a few of my favorite authors - it was obvious after a few minutes of counting that no other author was close to my most read.

message 1785: by Chris (new)

Chris | 7142 comments Mod
I did make it hard to search sorry! I just did the most read authors and then I clicked on the count for ones I know a binge read last year and it shows you the books you read most resent in descending order, so I could count how many 2018 easily.

My most read was Josh Lanyon with 12 books

TTPBM: If you won shopping spree at a bookstore would you head toward your favorite authors, a specific genre or a variety?

message 1786: by Deanna (new)

Deanna (anovelglimpse) | 6025 comments Mod

None! Well I do have a shelf of a few special books and signed books. In the past I hated how books would pile up so I gave them away and now I only buy e-books and audible.

TTPBM: If one author could write a story based on your life, who would you want it to be?

message 1799: by Karen (new)

Karen (readingaway84) | 2519 comments Mod
Probably Kristen Ashley...she'd rock me out an make sure my husband and I had an epic story! (I like our story just fine, but we all know authors like to be dramatic).

TTPBM: Have you ever been to an author event? If so where and who did you meet?? If no, would you like to go and who would you like to meet?

message 1800: by Deanna (new)

Deanna (anovelglimpse) | 6025 comments Mod
Yes! I've been to a few. I went to one for Al & Tipper Gore years ago, Hillary Clinton's book signing, the Emerald City Author Event a few years ago in Seattle and then Book Bonanza 2018. I've met Colleen Hoover, Meghan March, Meghan Quinn, Kim Holden, Beth Flynn, Kennedy Ryan, Mariana Zapata, Emma Chase, KA Tucker, Claire Contreras, EL James, and a bunch more. There are more I would love to meet.
