Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Tiffany, I finished Ordinary Angels yesterday and unfortunately it wasn't my cup of tea. Kindle freebies are very hit or miss, sometimes you luck out with a really great read, and sometimes you get a dud. This time it was a dud, but thanks for the push to get it off my TBR. :)

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments Nairabell,

I finished Vampire Academy this morning. I am giving it 3.5 stars! It started out a little slow for me, but I got into it about a third of the way in. I really enjoyed the rest of it and I'm excited to read the second book in the series.

Thanks for the great rec. If I have time this month I will read more of them.

I hope you are enjoying your recs!

Megan L Harnett | 806 comments Hi Jodi,

I just finished Shelter Mountain (Virgin River, #2) by Robyn Carr and I loved it. I loved the first book on audio and loved this one on audio too! I like how not only did they add the new story in it they also continued on the story from the first book. I like how all the stories flow together. I hope they keep it up through the rest of the series.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Thinking back to when I read it I think I found it a little slow to get started too, but once it got going it was a ton of fun :)

message 469: by Carla (new)

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Elishia--I finished Flat-Out Sexy (Fast Track, #1) by Erin McCarthy today. It was ok, not my ideal romance, but it was interesting to read something a bit different from my usual regency romances, and I was happy to get it off my TBR list. Thanks for the recommendation.

message 470: by Elishia (new)

Elishia You're welcome. Sorry it wasn't a great read for you but glad you didn't hate it.

message 472: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey Rena,

I finished Stealing Parker and it was fun! Not as good as Miranda Kenneally's debut novel, but I'm not sure if I've ever laughed that hard over a book! =)

message 473: by Kami (new)

Kami (aidansmama) | 988 comments Almost finished my second pick Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh and I am liking this one better than the first book in the Psy-Changeling series.

I think these get better the further you are in the series.

message 475: by Kami (new)

Kami (aidansmama) | 988 comments I finished Visions of Heat. Yeah, I definitely liked this one better than the first book. I will have to continue reading more into the series. I am giving this one four stars. I started my third pick Becoming Sage.

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments Penney, finished How to Tell a Lie How to Tell a Lie (Truth and Lies, #1) by Delphine Dryden . Sorry, just didn't do it for me. I think the biggest problem was I didn't like the writing style. I loved the gaming aspect but it wasn't enough to carry it past the other pitfalls. 2 stars.

message 492: by Christina (new)

Christina (christinaovallsbooks) | 384 comments Finished my first PIFM, Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews . I gave it 3.5 stars. I think I would have liked this better in print but had to get it in audiobook from the library. They didn't have the print copy. Still a good book and will probably read the next in the series.

message 493: by Nairabell (new)

Nairabell | 433 comments Hi Gea!

I just finished White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black yesterday and I loved it! I read pretty much the whole book in one session and will definitely be picking up the next two in the trilogy. Thanks for such a great rec and I'll check back if I manage to read something else (my copy of Silver Bells just arrived!) :)

I just finished Calico Joe by John Grisham and starting my second pick The Traveler (Fourth Realm, #1) by John Twelve Hawks

message 497: by Kami (new)

Kami (aidansmama) | 988 comments I finished my third pick Becoming sage and I really didn't like it at all. I am giving it two stars. I thought it was really boring and I had a hard time getting into it. I didn't like the characters and I thought it was really heavy handed and preachy towards the perfections of a polyamorous M/s alternative lifestyle. I wasn't buying it.

I just finished Candy Girl by Eve Vaughn Candy Girl, and it was very cute. It's been on my TBR for 2.5 years, so I'm glad you pushed me to finally read it. I haven't read a lot of Eve Vaughn books, but I plan to read more.

Thanks for the pick. :)
