Whew. I love Mishima, but it looks like I will have to be a humble partial completist. All the same, great choice.
Unpublished translations available on the net: - "Three Primary Colors," a one-act play from 1955, translated by Miles McElrath;
- "The Monster" (1949), and
- "The Peacocks" (1965) two short stories translated by David. O. Mills.

Thirst for love
Forbidden colors
Temple of the golden pavilion
The sound of waves
The sailor who fell from grace with the sea
Onwards!
Just a short Q: asince I ain't initiated yet in the works of MishimaI'ld like to know if
Forbidden colors
is in any way connected either to the film "good Christmas Mr.Laurence"
or the song with the same title, that was released alongside with the film a bit later on ...
PS: I could easily provide the lyrics, for ya to make a comparison

Hi Dan - sorry for the four year delay. I understand that originally "forbidden colours" was a reference to clothing colours that were reserved for the Emperor at court. It came to mean, however, a reference to forbidden love ... homosexuality. Hence it was used in the title of this novel, and for the title of the song.
