Carrot-Ginger-Sage Waffles

I had to experiment a bit with the temperature of the waffle iron, but the end result was delicious. Oddly, I don't think we tasted the sage so much, but there was great carrot and ginger taste. My kids loved them, even the picky eater! My husband thought they would be perfect with "chicken" - he settled for a Tofurkey beer brat.

These are savory? Would they work as pancakes?

Yummy looking photo. Good to know they're kid friendly, at least for two kids.

They aren't savory but they aren't sweet. There is some brown sugar I think they could easily work as pancakes.
