I loved this book! If you like it, you should definitely read her series There is No Light in Darkness & Darkness Before Dawn> I thought they were amazing.

I finished . My thoughts:

What worked for me:
1. Kellan Freaking Kyle - Hello?
2. Getting a look at the other characters through Kellan's POV (Evan and Jenny!) and Denny - You see a different side of him (he's still a good guy!)
3. I usually don't like alternate POV's but this one worked. It wasn't basically a repeat of thoughtless. It had new scenes in it.
For numbers 4-5 see number 1

What didn't work for me:
1. I felt Kellan's inner monologue was lengthy and repetitive (I love you Kiera, but you can't possibly love me can only be said so many times).
2. I think Kellan's inner monologue took away from his bad boy image

Now I am reading for the last book I need in the Jan/Feb Challenge!

Yes! Repetitive inner monologue was way too long!

I had no idea they were doing a Kellan POV. I'm hesitant to read this one. I wasn't a huge fan of the Thoughtless series. I just didn't like Kiera at all. She grew and redeemed herself in the last book, but it dragged on and bored me. The first book was torture for me and didn't like it, the second book was great and the last book was good, but it took me a while to read. I loved Kellan he made the series, so I'm tempted for his POV!

A cowboy love story AND a WW2 love story combined - only 2 of my favorites!
