Character names too similar?

My WIP, almost ready for publication, has two important characters named Sarah and Amanda. Do these names sound too similar? (They're both pretty tough customers, and I shudder at the thought of trying to wrest away a name from either :-) -- but I don't want readers to get confused.)

I don't think so. If they were "Sarah" and "Sally" or "Sally" and "Samantha" or "Amy" and "Amanda" I think you'd need to change something... but "Sarah" and "Amanda" seem dissimilar enough to me.

I agree with Jenelle, those names aren't similar enough to cause such an issue.
