In a world without gravity, people must find ways to keep themselves down to earth.

Is that literally what the world is like? No strings attached.. just a world without gravity? Like, is there a specific time period or just modern day times?

Yes, no strings at all. Well... hopefully there ARE strings attached, because if there's not you'll float off. This is set in about the fifties, because technology has been less advanced when scientists are both trying to get gravity and float off at the worst of times. People have handhelds in the ground set very deep so they won't come out (although this happens sometimes anyway) and they use these to get around. In a building they can let go, there are also handhelds in walls. The buildings are also set far down into the earth, so they won't float away either. Not the most logical of ideas, but I thought it interesting.
