i think in nicks opinion Daisy isn't at fault because over the course of 5 years Gatsby must have had a vision of how daisy would be when they finally met again and nick must have thought that Gatsby may have been maybe over exaggerating.


Gatsby either way dosen't blame Daisy."not through her own fault, but becasuse of of the colossal vitality of his illusion."(pg95)




in the five years Gatsby wanted daisy to drop by she never did invoking him to put her in his imagination by doing this she became better than she really is in his eyes by doing this this is Gatsby's fault."there must have been moments even that afternoon when daisy tumbled short of his dreams-not though her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion.it had gone beyond her, beyond everything."pg 95 so this is not daisy's fault it is his.
