NayNay Sorry Cindy that it has take so long, I was on a little vacation with my sister's.

I enjoy Tami Hoag's books so thank-you for that pick, I have alot of books on my agenda for this month but I will try also to read THE PASTOR'S WIFE.

I pick for you The Queen's Vow A Novel Of Isabella Of Castile by C.W. Gortner and/or Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by R.L. LaFevers

message 102: by Marilyn (new)

Marilyn (marilynmalloy) I finished by book, Cursed. I really liked it, and here is my review,

I wasn't sure if I would like this book when I put it as To Be Read, but I really did. I read it in a little over three hours, so it was a nice quick, easy read.

Ember dies, in a car crash. Her sister has a gift, and brings her back - but with serious consequences. Now everything she touches dies, and the kids at school are horrible to her. The car crash creates huge changes in her mother, leaving Ember basically alone caring for her younger sister.

One day a boy shows up, and shortly after she finds herself in his home, along with the rest of her family, under the care of his 'father'. Ember is not sure what to do, or what is going on. And her life is suddenly changed. Resistant to the changes at first as she is not sure what is for the better. Ember has to decide if this is the right place for her, and what to do as her sister loves all that it has to offer.

This is a great YA read about self discovery, and not always using the fight or flight instints. Sometimes you just have to deal with it, and not get what you want - or neccessarily feel is right. Sometimes others do have better insight into what is best, and you just have to deal with it and cope with things.

While I did have a hard time at times with the writing style, it did seem to jump a bit, especiallly at the end, it was a good book. I would recommend this to YA readers, but it is fairly focused on the age group, but still a great read.

Mrs. Northman Not that Sookie girl :) Not that Sookie girl :) (supernaturalmom3) | 61 comments Christine I have chosen Deadly Captive (Deadly Captive, #1) by Bianca Sommerland for you. It sounds exciting. I hope you enjoy.

Also I wanted to tell anyone I was pair with the past few months that I am sorry. I signed up for the forever list and since June I haven't picked for anyone. I hire a tree service to cut a tree beside my home and they dropped it on my home. I have finally bought a new home, got the kids settled and my Internet on. I just wanted to say I am sorry to whom ever was paired with me.
