which I recently read myself and absolutely LOVED! One of the best books in a very long time :)
Such a unique vision and a tale you've definitely never heard/read before :)

As a back-up, I choose American Gods by Neil Gaiman which is an absolute masterpiece in my mind that everybody should read!

(I struggled with whether I should pick this book or
Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1) by Jim Butcher for your back-up, as I think the Harry Dresden series is the best!, but American Gods as a better stand-alone book :)

Looking forward to Everlost, thank you! I choose Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro or On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta I haven't read either, but they're both on my list and look really good :)

Valerie, for you I've chosen The Shadow of the Wind (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #1) by Carlos Ruiz Zafón by Carlos Ruiz Zafon - one of my top 5 books of all time! It's just magical and portrays Barcelona so wonderfully :)

As a back-up (from your own-not-read shelf), I've chosen The Long Walk by Stephen King by Stephen King, which (although short) is one of his best in my humble opinion :)
