Here's my review for Mona Karel's book "Teach Me to Forget" http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... I've also posted the review on Amazon (US & UK) and B&N.
Thanks, Marcelle, that's just what we need. From your review that must have been a cracking read, earning 4 despite the problems you noted. I'll have to check it out - when I have time. So many good books, so few hours!
I'm so happy about how this group has got together - authors who write well, have integrity, and know how to review. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous about leaving my own poor writing efforts in the mix.
Mona, as we don't have an author to review in round 2 (Rebecca, a registered reader, has picked up the baton while we continue the search for a replacement for Johnny) you've been left with a 3 week reviewing gap. If you'd like to, there's nothing to stop you picking up a second book from one of the group. You can't review Marcelle, Philip, Eileen or Mike, since they are reviewing you, but you could do me, Larry, Marie-Anne or Sylvie. My 2nd novel is actually the first in the series, so you're welcome to a copy but it might feel a bit strange reading in the reverse order. There are many other members in the group, but you might want to join them in another full review group at some stage.
Have a think about it and let us know what you'd like.
Just to let you know I've posted a review for Eileen's book, 'Sydney's Story'. I'll add this to the Amazon sites asap. I think I'm due to review Philip next, but I haven't tracked him down yet. Are you out there Phiiip?
Jay wrote: "So, Mike - we've had a sonnet and a villanelle... What's next up your sleeve for us?"lol Wrong thread!
Haha indeed... I blame it all on work of the paid variety, too many hours of... Good job I have it, so to speak, as my book sales won't pay for diddly squat.*sigh*
OK, apart from Johnny's review, and he has apologised about the extra time he'll need, all results are in for our first round for our first group.Well done, everyone :)

Edit: Apologies for the earlier incorrect link for Philip's review, now corrected.
Edit: added in Johnny's review
I saw where Johnny posted his review, and would like to thank him for sticking with it. I appreciate the effort to fulfill a commitment!
That's excellent news, Larry, and a good review from Johnny, too. Hope he can get back to us sometime.
Yes, he expressed some of the things I was feeling about it far better, but we came to the same conclusion on rating.
