Elsie Snave Sophia: I agree with you but the fact that you felt the pain and depression shows how good of an author she is! He other book is great too! I'm an author myself and if people laugh at the punch line or cry at the place that emotion is intended is a success to me :)

Nathalie * Sara Johns* wrote: "I feel like I need a support group after reading that lol"

I feel the same! lol I just can't believe that happened to Chase! I'm so upset and I don't know if I can read the second book!

message 103: by Elsie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Elsie Snave The second book is just chases perspective before he dies!

Lanie was heartbroken when chase died. that was just so cruel to do that to him

message 105: by Anita (new) - rated it 2 stars

Anita Viccica - Toss Okay, this books gonna be tough to read as I know how it will end! :( But I wanna hear Chase's POV and see what went through his mind and what he was actually thinking. I can ONLY imagine! LOL Hoping this is better than the first book as others said after Chase dies, the book was ruined for me! To me, it got kinda unbelievable, I guess it COULD happen, but let's be real, what are the changes of this whole thing turning into a happy ending!(less)

Aint that the truth. I am sort of disappointed..

I totally agree with you...

Booklover Why!!!??? Why did she have to kill Chase off!!?? I definitely can't read Stealing Harper, seriously what was the author thinking by killing Chase? I wish I never read it in the first place.

message 109: by Elsie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Elsie Snave Stealing Harper was great too. Not as sad! Still sad of course! I recommend reading it

Michelle Sorry to spoil the book for anyone but in her next book, Stealing Harper, (which is Taking Chances but in Chase's POV) it's ten times worst because when Chase dies this time, his last words before he dies will have you bawling your eyes out!!! I don't know if it was the fact that I was hoping that there would be an alternate ending where Chase and Harper get together, or the fact that Chase dies in his own book but I cried longer than I did after reading Taking Chances.

message 111: by Elsie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Elsie Snave I cried less because I knew it was coming! But I would of rather he didn't suffer

message 112: by Erika (new) - rated it 4 stars

Erika Once Chase passed the story was over for me.

I pretty much hated this book but still enjoyed it...I had no intentions to read Stealing Harper but now I want to just to find out his last words.

Michelle Liana wrote: "Michelle wrote: "Sorry to spoil the book for anyone but in her next book, Stealing Harper, (which is Taking Chances but in Chase's POV) it's ten times worst because when Chase dies this time, his l..."

Lol!! Just skip to the last few pages in the book because the rest is just a waste of time. His last words were really sweet!! I would quote it now if I had the book with me so that I can save you the time and effort. I think his last words were too sweet considering the way he was treated before and after he dies.

they probably were, I hate how it seemed like Harper was only with him because she was pregnant sometimes.

message 116: by Tena (new)

Tena Sousa Ok where is the support group? I read Stealing Harper first. I didn't no about Taking Chances. And I have to say this author is just cruel. Pumps us up to believe they have a chance at happy ever after with the gummy bear on board and "Bam" she kills Chase off. What the hell? I have never been so upset and pissed off after reading a book ever and I read a lot. It's been 2 days and I'm still pissed looking for a sequel, hoping she just left us hanging at the accident. I want her to go back and kick that Trish chicks ass, but to just kill him off before they have a real chance. That's just foul.

message 117: by Tena (new)

Tena Sousa Ok. So I'm reading more posts about taking chances. There is no way I'm reading it now. After chases devastating pov I'd be livid to see her back with Brandon - naming chases' baby after his dad and the kid not knowing chases was his father is BS. No thanks.

Elisabeth Tena I feel the same way. I read Taking Chances first and when he named the baby Liam and I am so pissed. I am like name it after the FATHER not after the fake Father's Day that no one really cares about.

Rebecca I read it wow was it powerful, beautiful and so sad I cannot remember the last time I actually cried whilst reading, I loved it.

Kristin Fuchs i can't stop crying i just can't.

Kristin Fuchs Bren wrote: "Cherrym134 wrote: "I need support!!! started reading 4hours ago and i have just reached the car crash, been crying for past hour... i dont think i can carry one, can anyone convince me to carry on?..."

i couldn't agree more.

Rebecca I loved even though it was tragic it was beautiful epic and loving I cried but wow it was powerful continue reading it was just wow!!!!

message 123: by Tena (new)

Tena Sousa Kristin - that book had me tore up for a couple days. Now I find myself reading reviews and nearly considering spoilers before I read a book. Never have I been emotionally distraught after reading a book.

message 124: by Janna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Janna Harmon This is my first book review....so please....be easy on slamming my thoughts.

I will start off by saying that Taking Chances is one of my favorite books. And Stealing Harper is a close second to this book.

I cried, cussed, quit reading, yelled, and cried some more. I have read all the other books similar to this one currently mentioned. I do not CARE WHY Molly McAdams made the decisions she did. All I will do is thank her for giving us a gut wrenching story that moved me in more ways than I can explain in this word count box!!

Harpers story alone, growing up, never having affection and all the other weird things because of her father. I related to her, albeit very nontraditional, coming of age story.

What I took away from this book is that life is not perfect. We don't always get what we want. Even in the romance books we are reading.

Stealing Harper gave you such a great opportunity to really understand Chase. LOVED IT!!!

It isn't the current trend HEA ending and that made this book stand out for me.

message 125: by Tena (new)

Tena Sousa I didn't dislike the book, it was very well written, gut wrenching.. But the ending was devastating, and hit to close to home for me. I've lost the father of children and this book ripped me wide open.

Michelle Erika wrote: "Once Chase passed the story was over for me."

SAME HERE!!!! I COULDN'T EVEN BRING MYSELF TO FINISH THE BOOK!!!

Yea, I feel like her father had her emotionally disorientated because she was just soo..... STUPID!! I mean how can she "love" Brandon and "love" Chase too????!!! She really needs to get her act together. I'm still so pissed over all of the poor decisions that she made.

Michelle Tena wrote: "Ok. So I'm reading more posts about taking chances. There is no way I'm reading it now. After chases devastating pov I'd be livid to see her back with Brandon - naming chases' baby after his dad an..."

Totally how I felt. I fell like Chase was f**ked over before and after he dies. I mean how can you name your child after the father of another guy... and then not tell him who his real father is after that???!!! I was just so pissed off on Chase's behalf!!!

Elisabeth Michelle: I totally agree with you. I was like you name your child after their dead father. Not after the fake father dead dad that really no one cares about that much.. I mean come on. Chase would not have wanted that and especially because she said the Chase was an uncle not the his father. I read it on my iPod and I was surprised that I did not break it by the end of the book.

This was one of the few times I didn't read any of the spoilers and now I know why I do. I never saw it coming especially since I knew there was another book. Boy I was so wrong.

And the name thing made me mad. I think Liam should have been named Chase Grayson Taylor or even kept Chase's last name so he could carryon the Grayson's family name.

Jocelyn Reyes I need to join a support group!!!!! that was horrible!!!!!! he didn't deserve to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 134: by ποπι (new)

ποπι Seriously???? He dies? That's horrible!!! As if it's not enough that the whole book is unrealistic, at least a happy end with Chase would make it worth your time...BUT no he has to die in the middle of the book, and no we don't see her years later with her child, raising it, talking about daddy and remembering him, but she goes back to Brandon and everybody is ok with it!!! A few months later... And what the F is the thing with Uncle Chase? And his name is Liam? Really?
It is not one of those cases where someone you love dies and you move on... It's about a girl who makes one mistake after the other, hurts both guys who love her, and in the end it is like they were interchangeable!!!
Molly McAddams what where you thinking???

message 135: by Mrsbooks (new)

Mrsbooks Ok so I just got to the part where Chase DIES! What the hell?
Is this book even worth finishing?
