Off to look for a book. I'll be back to post my selection.
ETA: Yay - one of my ..."
Yay! It's great when you think "no not that shelf" and then it ends up being perfect :)

This one was disappointing- skip it
This one is a hard one for me to rate (I gave it a 3, then changed it to a 2). There were some things I liked (the witches and their phone sex business and the variety of characters and their various personalities), things I didn't (Chad and Dottie= annoying, and the fact that certain characters would accept the existence of certain supernaturals and deny the existence of others), and things that were just okay (Merry and Jason). The variety of the characters was also too much; there are several different side stories that overwhelmed the main one. I don't think I will continue with this series.

Review: This was the third installment in the Otherkin series. Story continues one right where the 2nd one left off. So nice to be able to read these books right after the other so I dont lose the drift of the story. This story was about Mal and Calliope. Great story and once again a cliffhanger. have really enjoyed this series.

I will go with

Wow! I haven't read that in years! Secret Vampire is the book that got me started on paranormal fiction :)

Review: Wow! What a read! I must admit that I was rather bored at the beginning of this book, as it started a little slowly, but then the story started to move faster and I was hooked! The only disappointment was the words "To be continued" at the end...It would have been nice to have a tidy ending to the story...but I will be reading the next book...and soon!

Review: Well this was quite the story. Grabbed you right from the start. Very funny book. Made me think of Lucille Ball if she was a succubi (maybe just cause of the red hair. Really was funny. Just what I needed to read while sitting around in airports on this last trip. Overall the story was so unbelievable but such fun to just escape.

Review: This book makes you ask questions and ponder things like, what is truth. It makes you think, while neatly wrapped up in the world of magics, light and dark. Destiny, are all things known, can you change it? Your actions maybe able to bend things, or at least lead you to believe they do when in the grand scheme of things, you are just a mere little player, a pawn.
The Night Watch was a fantastic book, I enjoyed that it was broken down into 3 stories within. But all 3 played an important role to the next. Much like life, we don't just keep going non stop, we take our breaks, we sleep, season change. The things we have done in the past tend to effect the events in the future.

Review: When I started the Dresden series, I really was not impressed with the main character - Harry Dresden. He seemed to be constantly in situations that were way over his head and managed to scrap by barely by the skin of his teeth. While it's refreshing to see such a character, it made you feel for him. And it made me reluctant to pick up the next book in series. It was then I heard that the series gets better after book #3 or 4. While I didn't feel that during those books, I definitely felt it in this one.
There are two intertwining threads in this book. The White Council and the Red Court are still at war with each other. One of the nobles of the Red Court has invited Harry to a duel so that the war can be stopped with a limited bloodshed. And Harry has a new case - the Shroud of Turin is missing and it can be found in Chicago. While superficially the two things seem simple, it is not.
There a quite a number of developments in this book - the author has developed the world quite beautifully in this book. We are introduced to new factions such as the Denarians, The Fellowship. We get to see new Knights. And the Archive. (As an aside, Duels seemed so very common in Historical Romance and I was glad to see my "knowledge' paid off in this book :P ) Also, I can see some growth to Harry from the first book but I really hope he grows some more.
Now Harry's dialogue - Man, that's so cheesy. But sometimes his wiseass crack works in a death-situation but mostly I'm like - dude, stop with this cracks and go into action. This is irritating from book #1. That said, I'm almost hooked to this series now. If the next book is as good, my CC is going to be ecstatic.

Review: Started to read the first chapter last night just to get a feel for the book and before I knew it almost 3 hours had passed and I was about 80% done the book. A quick read for me. Interesting story. The story was basically Poppy was sick cancer and had only weeks to live and her best friend was a vsmpire, except she didnt know that. James (the vampire) was in love with her but for vampires love with humans cant be allowed. So he changed her and her brother (Phil) happened upon them changing Poppy and got roped into keeping the secret. Poppy had to die but because she had vampire blood she would live again. Phil and James brought up out of her grave and had to hide her. She was a renegade vampire and could be spotted and killed by other vampires. At the end it was determined that Poppy and Phil were already part of the Night World as they had an ancestor that was Psychic and a witch.
Can see there is room for more stories to be added. Good book for tweens to get started in this genre. Writing surprised me, it was quite good.

Good Job!! :D

Nope. Not yet. I'm done with the book but I'm still not sure whether to rate it as a 4 or 5 star read. I'll try and make a decision by the end of the day.

Review: Connie, hunts vampires, but not in the traditional sense. She doesn't do the actual slaying, she works on a team and her job is bait. She's an attractive little blonde who is sent out to clubs in the search of vampires. Once she makes contact with her target she lures them some place private, and that is when the "action" happens. And by action I mean her team sweeps in takes over. But this time things don't go as planed.
I really enjoyed this book, looking forward to reading the next book.

Happy Reading!
ETA: This is a personal shelf, not a GR shelf. So, as long as the book is 200+ pgs, part of a series and book 2 or higher in that series it's acceptable.

I had wanted to read

I had..."
I'm guessing it'd be okay (fingers crossed as mine is 2 of 2) as it says book 2, but I'm not 100% sure.

just got this off hold at the library and looking forward to this story continuing

It should be okay. The goal is to catch up further in a series (or finish one as the case maybe). I'm leaning towards
