Kitty Steals the Show takes us to London with Kitty, Ben & Cormac for the First International Conference on Paranatural Studies. Kitty's initial reactions to London reminded me of Bill Murphy in 'The Man Who Knew Too Little' when he's at the customs desk listing all the things he wants to see and do while he's there. Kitty doesn't get to do much sightseeing, instead she's busy doing what she does best. She has an innate ability to talk her way out of just about any situation. Now, she wants to try to use that skill to save some fellow shifters from dying in the upcoming war.
It was great to reconnect with Luis, the jaguar-shifter; Emma, the college-student turned vampire; and Joseph Tyler, the former Army Special Forces soldier turned were. In addition to running into old friends, she makes some new ones - Caleb, the alpha of Britain, and vampire masters: Ned (Britain), Marid, Anthony (Barcelona). Very Kitty-like, she also makes some new enemies.
In the end, we're left with an ominous, dun-dun-dun-like ending proclaiming the big war is coming - prepare now or suffer later. As the blurb says, "All the world’s a stage, and Kitty’s just stepped into the spotlight." We'll have to wait until Kitty Rocks the House to see if her 15-minutes on the "world's stage" will reap big rewards or not.

This one started out fantastic, for me. I was having a blast tooling around London with the gang. The ending, however felt a bit rushed. Or maybe like the engine stalled. That's my reason for the 3.5 v. 4★ rating.

I really enjoyed this book. This is a series I discovered only because of members of this SOS group and I am so glad I did. I am not a big fan of pnr. But this series somehow worked for me. Yes they are cheesy. But I still loved them.
This book is the second in the series. The main character is not considered attractive by men in modern times. She is transported into the future (yes yes roll your eyes) where civilization has collapsed, most women are dead and shifters are common. Native American plains culture has been resurrected the main character - Glory- finds herself the object of an alpha werewolf's affections. She is mourning the loss of her past life and trying to survive. I really enjoyed this book. Fun sexy pnr!

I have started my book, I'm about a third of the way into it. Should be done tomorrow, my best friend gets married on Tues so I want it finished before then :)

Eric and Iona have had my attentin since they met in the nightclub and I was eagerly awaiting their tale. I wasn't disappointed!
Eric has a lot to deal with, the powers that be have declared that another pack have to move in to shiftertown with Eric and his pack this alone brings a lot of problems with it - 2 packs, 2 alpha's can anyone feel the tension & foresee the upcoming dominance fights? Both Eric & Graham have very different idea's on how a pack shuld be run so they often butt heads. When some of Graham's shifters go missing during the move to Shiftertown can they work together to find them or will the only outcome be a fight to the death? Throw in Eric's attraction to half-shifter Iona who is living and hiding amongst the human's, can he bring her safely into the pack or will she continue to fight hm every step of the way. Time is running out as she is quickly losing control of her Panther.
The relationships in shiftertown really make this series stand out for me, the willingness of the shifters to look out for each other and the family orientated feel to the books hooked me early on and have me pre-ordering every title. I can't wait for the next one!

I know, as I typed that note I thought I should find a better way to say it. I know it isn't over yet, but I was just wanting to once again say what a wonderful group of ladies you all have been to play with.
As far as being captain, you're welcome, it was nice to finally learn how to do all of the code and linking between posts.

While I've read 5 books in Laurenston's "Pride" series, this is only the 2nd one I've read in her "Dragon Kin" series under the pseudonym Aiken. The former is easily my favorite. While I like DK, I can't seem to warm up to the characters as much as I want to-not to mention, all of the hard-to-pronounce names can be extremely annoying at times. AAD tells the story of Briec the Mighty and Talaith, a 32-year-old Nolwenn (sp?) witch who is saved by Briec when her husband gets her town to try to hang and burn her.
I liked T & B even though B was incredibly arrogant & T was a shrew at the best of times. I liked the twists concerning the Goddess & an important person from T's past. I also liked learning more about Annwyl & Fearghus, the h/h from the previous book, Dragon Actually. There was nothing I hated about AAD but nothing I especially loved either. It was an enjoyable read but I know I'm going to forget most of the details by next week. I might continue "Dragon Kin" but then again, I might just stick with the series that makes me SO HAPPEH instead.

I feel the same way about that series, Lethal. I much prefer the Pride/Pack books.
I wonder how Amanda is getting on... No pressure though! Just curious. I believe she was listening to an audio book maybe?

This was a fun follow-up to the first book, but I liked the first book better than this one. Maggie is faced with being alpha of the pack and pressures from her family to mate with a wolf when she starts falling for the nerdy professor in town to research the existence of werewolves. Maggie came off as an abrasive character in the first book and, although she was toned down some in this book, I just didn't connect with her very well. I loved Nick though, I have a soft spot for the cute nerdy guys. There are plenty of laughs mixed with some romance. The mystery was pretty easy to solve but the quirky characters kept it entertaining. There are no more books in this series, but I will continue reading Molly Harper's books.

And hey - we won!!!!!

Regina, I listened to both books in this series and I would recommend the audiobooks. Amanda Ronconi is the narrator and she does a great job with all of the characters. She is one of my favorite narrators.

Regina, I listened to both books in this series and..."
Thanks, Amanda - I'm really new to Audiobooks so I find I'm really curious about them & narrators. I literally just linked my new Kindle Fire to my Audible account so I can access them easily :)
I'll have a look out for her when I'm buying more.

Do you find yourself just staring at all the pretty covers too.. or is that just me?
