Mine is named Ook ook, after what the librarian says in the discworld novels :D (it started out as a placeholder name, but now i really like it)
My Kindle is named Kaidan, after the character in the Mass Effect series. (I got into the habit recently of naming all my electronic devices after the ME games. My laptop is Shepard, two hard drives are Normandy and Citadel, two USB flash drives are Joker and EDI.)

That is ALL win right there! (Obviously I am a ME fan)
My Kindle is KinneyPoo. I also named my car Zippy. My sewing machine is called Phyllis and my dress form is Laura. My whole family is big on naming inanimate objects....
Wow, you guys have thought of super fancy literary names! My kindle is called Kindley McKindleton :)
Sara wrote: "Wow, you guys have thought of super fancy literary names! My kindle is called Kindley McKindleton :)"I think that's adorable! :)
Dara wrote: That is ALL win right there! (Obviously I am a ME fan) Yay ME fans! I have to confess, I giggle like a five year old every time I plug Kaidan into Shepard.
I named mine Bob, after Bob the Skull in Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. Since Bob is Harry's go-to reference of knowledge, I thought it was a good name for the device holding all my books ;-)
I named my Kindle Peeta. Yes, partly because of the Hunger Games, but mostly because I like the name.
I use kindle for iPad/iPhone. My iPad is Mzann after one of my characters in an MMORPG, and my iPhone is Angelina.
How could I have NOT named my Kindle yet. I, too, tend to name everything electronic...my car, my phone (except my current one...I hate the arsehole), my computers). I shall name it...Octavo or the Librarian...both are Terry Pratchett references. I lurves me some Terry Pratchett. If you have not read one of his books, then you must go check one out from the local library...NOW!
My iPhone, which I use for the Kindle app, is called Hyacinth, after Hyacinth Bucket in "Keeping Up Appearances," my favorite British comedy series. My iPad, which I also use for the Kindle app sometimes, is called Abernathy, after Haymitch in "The Hunger Games."
My Kindle Fire is named Alanna, after Alanna of Trebond in "The Song of the Lioness" series by Tamora Pierce.
My Kindle PaperWhite is named Galahad, which I suppose is obvious where that is from, but it's specifically in regards to the Galahad in Nancy McKenzie's Arthurian legend series.
Everything is named after Star Trek.Laptop is named Voyager and everything that gets plugged into it is named after a shuttle craft.
Nook HD+ is Tereshkova
iPod is Cochrane
iPhone is Drake
Nook Color is Delta Flyer
I've named my Kindle Fire "Burnie" To keep with the whole fire theme and because http://www.burnie.com/ is kinda awesome
My new tablet is named River Song, because River's data ghost was uploaded to live forever in the The Library's computer - pretty much my idea of heaven.
As I use my Ipod alot I call it My Escape Pod or PodPod ((this one from my 17 month old since he grab's it often and says PodPod Mama!))
I got a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and (after some deliberation) named it Minerva, after the Roman goddess of poetry, wisdom, weaving, crafts and magic. I think it's a pretty appropriate name for an avid reader and knitter like myself!
My kindle paperwhite is named Faber (the professor who teaches Montag the importance of literature in Fahrenheit 451).
I got a Kobo Mini and a purple snap cover for it over Christmas, and lately my electronics naming theme has been flowers (laptop is Jasmine, iPod is Buttercup) so, since it was the first purple flower to come to mind, I've named it Hyacinthe after the Kushiel's Legacy character.
I named my kindle fire smyrgle after the wonderful Dragon from flight of dragons... I'm sure I spelled it wrong and so have not done him justice but... seeing as he was killed by the ogre of gormley keep I don't think he's got much to say on the matter.
I named my Kindle Paperwhite "Mrs. Pretty" (because she is soo pretty in her bright fuchsia pink case!)

There has been some Topics that cover your question. Below I posted the links to the topics.
I would say if you ONLY want to read on it then get an e-reader if you want to play games/watch movie...etc. I would say tablet. It's better for the eyes to read off an e-reader.
What kind of e-reader
guys tell me the tale of the nook touch with glowlight do you recommend
New Kindle
I've named my Paperwhite Mercedes (The Count of Monte Cristo).
I was reading on my iPad but it's just too heavy, so I got a Kindle Paperwhite. MUCH easier on the hands. (I like to hold my books in one hand.)
I saw a post recently comparing the nook and a TARDIS, so I thought I would name it that, and eventually get a skin for it!Our WIFI is 'Get Off Our Lawn" =]
Jute wrote: "Mine is Alexandria...after the library. Let's hope it doesn't catch fire!"The very best name for an e-reader.
My computer is called Plato Cascadana and my phone Bulbasaur.
Triblet has gone to the big computer in the sky, and my new tablet is called Seven of Two, because it's a Nexus7 and my second tablet... Yeah I'm not feeling the originality but it stuck after joking about it :P
Anthropomorphism abounds! My Kindle is named Giles. Because he was always in the library and had a book for anything Buffy needed to learn.
My Nexus 7 name is the Frog in swedish Grodan. Because an IPad are in sweden generally called padda in english toad. My Nexus isnen't a toad but a frog.
I haven't named any of my ereaders. However, now that it occurs to me, maybe I should name one Kith Plus, as in "more than kith, but less than Kindle."
Devon wrote: "I named mine Fela, because she is a scriv (archivist/librarian) in The Name of The Wind."Love this! My Kindle finally croaked so I got a new paperwhite and named it Mal. 'Cause, ya know, Cap'n Tightpants...
I do most of my reading from my phone as well as almost everything else so i christened it The Magic Box, after the shop from Buffy.
My kindle (where I read my ebooks) is named Spock, but my ipod (where I read my graphic novels and comics) is named R2D2.
