I understand shelf names have to be exactly what the shelf announcement says with no lookalikes allowed.

I was asking if the shelf announcement always matched the wording on the BINGO card.

Yes it always matches the wording on the Bingo card. There would be too much confusion if it didn't.

I need to shop early and mail by Thanksgiving, if I want my presents for my friends/family in the US to arrive in time for Christmas. Otherwise, it's online shopping all the way and I can shop up until a couple of days before.

My GR notifications have been wonky for a week+. If I've missed anyone's post/question to me specifically, I apologize. Send me a PM if ya need me.

Good question, Debbie. Thanks for answering, Mary. Yes, the shelves on the card match exactly to the shelf that is required reading for the stamp. If there's any discrepancy between (the spelling of a shelf on) a card and the shelf name on the announcement page, it's purely accidental (possibly a typo) and the name/link on the shelf announcement page should be considered correct and final.

And, now, what we've all been waiting for ... I give you, our 10th shelf announcement ~ 'shifters'.

She was caught up except for the 2012 shelf and the just called shifters shelf.

It didn't sound to me like she was dropping out. Just not starting a shifters book right away because it looks like another team is going to win it this week.

I haven't started mine yet. If Team 10 hasn't gotten all their books read by Wed or Thurs I will. But I decided to finish up some other books I have going first since most likely the game is over. I can knock the book out in a day if needed.

This was my plan too. If it looks like there won't be a winner by Thursday then I'll start my shifters, but until then, I'm going to read other challenge books at this point.
