I'd also rather have Barrons. V'lane kind of makes my skin crawl... of course, I've only read two books so I might change my mind later.
I was never on the V'lane train either. Lauren you stopped right where the series kicks off! You've gotta pick up book 3!

Glad to be able to distract you....
They each have a purpose... Vlane can flash you to a beach and brings Starbucks. I also want Anita Blake's Nathaniel because he cleans house and Merry's Galen cooks meals. Jericho is for lovin' and I think he's a handy man too...
We need to create our own hero - a little for Barrons, a little from Bones, a little from Vlad, etc.

Our next shelf is up ~ '2012' ~ This is a Goodreads shelf, not a personal shelf. Some books shelved there will be those released in 2012, some read in 2012, etc. Happy Reading!
Lol, comments around have been so hilarious I totally forgot to ask about the shelf.
I'm with Lis. Aim high get... well, get something I hope, lol. Father Chistmaaas *goes stalking*

This notification glitch is annoying. I didn't get notification of this thread, but I saw that new items had been added on the feed. ARGH.
Does it help if I put up the audio cover for Lord's Fall?? WTH! Abs win over letters any day!
For Elder's race fans, this looks like a Dragos & Pia book...

Haha :P I'm the opposite Mary!! Gotta try to fly through my current book for the first roll of yahtzee cos I've got this weeks bingo book as part of my second roll.....

Oh, I was pretty sure 2012 wasn't a Bingo shelf, but I was wondering *grin*
Thanks Rachel.
Thanks Rachel.
Mods - I remember seeing in the rules that the Holidays were going to be taken into account in this round. As Thanksgiving is next week, how is that going to work out?
As Thanksgiving is a Thursday, we decided that we wouldn't have a break for it. If the game goes as far as Christmas, there will be a break then. But I doubt it will go so long.
I cannot believe how quickly the holidays are approaching. Doesn't Father Time realize how behind I am on my shoppin'?! Sheesh!
You've started the shopping? So responsible, lol. I think I'll end up rushing through ten day before, with luck. At least I know what I want to get ONE of my family members. No clue the rest, lol...
I started my Christmas shopping a few weeks ago. My daughter's bday is in Nov and I usually buy too much for her bday and set some aside for Christmas.
This may be a stupid question this far into the game; but, except for shelf announcements that are "personal choice" are the shelf names exactly as spelled on the BINGO cards? Or could the 2012 square have also been a shelf call linked to things like "read 2012" or "read in 2012" or the dozens of other 2012 whatever shelves?
Oh, and just saw a change, if any page numbering, covers, etc. in anyone's other challenges require "default edition"—goodreads now allows authors/publishers to pick default editions instead of most-shelved (I'm guessing to make the currently available to purchase bookcovers to show?). Saw in this thread http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... (message 9 if link is funky)
Well, that's been a long awaited change. Authors have been agitating for it for years. And Debbie, shelf names have to be exact, no lookalikes allowed.
You don't have to read the exact edition on the shelf though. Whenever I shelve a book and look at the other editions it shows my shelves on every edition. So I don't really get how one edition can show up when paging through the shelves and other don't.
I am so excited for the shelf call! Can't wait. I wish I was getting notifications, but I am not for some reason.
