This is great, I loved playing last round it's a good way to get me to read books off my TBR the only down side is for every book I read I end up adding tons more:) It's a visious cycle I swear!!

Yay!! My goal for this round is to try and read books I already own. No buying new ones. Unless it's a new release... or a book I've been dying to read... or... okay I already don't believe in myself...

Haha you guys are great!!! I am suuuuppper excited! :) I feel more pumped and ready to go. I think I may be coming out of my reading rut also. I am hoping so. I need to get back into reading more again. Now for the upcoming shelves... :) Is there a way to get a sneak peek at the different shelves. :) Please! :) With cherries on top! :) (Yes there are a lot of smiles and yes it is because of the upcoming bingo round which turned my horrible night at work into something that I don't care about)

Now to add to the fun I need a margarita while we wait...I have a whole blender anybody else down :)

Meghan you read my mind! I was just going to ask about when the new shelves might me posted so I could scope them out...LOL great minds you know :) and I to have been in a horrible book rut the last little while, I when from reading almost 100 books a year down to like 30 or 40, but I blame my ex for that!

I wanna know the shelves too but last round I made a list of possible books for each one and I don't know if I stuck to my list for even one shelf. But I'm sure I'll make another list as soon as I know the shelf names! Aaaaaannnnd then pick a completely different book when the time comes. Oh well. Looking for books is half the fun!

I'm a list junkie, I make lists of lists for goodness sake...lol so I totally get what your saying Breann about making lists of potential books for the new bingo shelves, I can't wait to start!

I gave up making lists a long time ago. I'm such a book overload from the library that my current reading schedule is just following whatever is due next that I HAVE to finish. Makes deciding easy though!

that would be so much easier Keri but my little OCdemon won't let me rest until I've made at least 20 lists of books I'm probably not going to read...lol then I'll have to start all over again, I think I keep my local Staples in business with all the note paper and pens I buy :)

I'm worried thou with all the buddy reads I've signed up for (and it's only 3 for sept) that I won't be able tight everything in....

Any tips for the newbie?

I've got 3 buddy reads as well for september Belinda the only thing I can recommend is trying to fit them into the shelves when they are called and I like to get the free space read out of the way right away so I can concentrate on the other shelves that are called

Ya I play bingo for 2 different groups, I love when I can get the book I'm reading that week to count for shelves for both games!

Yep...Margaritas

(Steph's BSB list includes things like, "randomize teams", "prepare e-vite", "make shelf-list"...mine: "update this and that", "buy maragarita mix"~gotta get those really important things done to keep the crowd happy!) Well, updates not done, but did get you all some of these for while you wait!


Your standard margarita, in an old-fashioned glass...or larger as necessary...



Raspberry (and apparently OK for those watching their weight...found it on a diet page, so you can sip this while nibbling on Alyssa cupcakes...and not be TOTALLY blowing your diet as you prepare to sit and read.


Keep you very cool as the summer heat is reluctant to move on...


Or walk on the wild(er) side....frightening to think of WHAT makes that blue color....

Shelf lists will be posted to team threads as we get closer to the start date. Right now, I can tell ya that, with the exception of a few switch-ups, most of the shelves will be the same as R5. There will be 5 personal shelves (no GR shelf link, you choose a book from YOUR shelves), but they won't all be the same as R5. That's it for now.

Glad everyone's excited about R6!

Newbies, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We were all new to the game at one time and are happy to help.

I know that given that this is a PNR/UF group, there are some 'must have' shelves that will stay but I hope we have a few new ones to mix it up!!

Just a suggestion...maybe for next round even... 'steampunk' shelf. :) I also am hoping to see the personal Freebie shelf that was suggested last time. I really liked the Series Catch-Up shelf too.

There will be a few new ones this go-round, but not a lot. Maybe for R7 I'll get a bit more creative, no time for this round.

Thanks for the suggestion, Meghan. Maybe I'll use 'steampunk' in a future round. I don't think I'll add a 'freebie book' shelf, but everyone is welcome to read a 'freebie book' that is 200+ if it fits one of the personal shelves (ie - Reader's Choice shelf) or is shelved on one of the called GR shelves.

If players are interested, I will create a shelf suggestion thread to help compile a list of R7 shelf ideas.
