How did you discover Firefly?

My dad was the one who got me into Firefly. I watched it in about a week (finished it yesterday). I still have the movie to watch.
Elizabeth, if you are near a city which is running a Can't Stop The Serenity event this year, go watch the movie with a bunch of fans and donate to charity at the same time. You can check to see if there's one near you at cantstoptheserenity.com
I love all sci-fi shows. I stumbled upon Firefly while scrolling through Netflix. I was so excited I told my friends how great it was. Their response, "Yeah, we know. How are you just finding it?"
Someone told me I was exactly like Kaylee Frye. When I replied "who?" I was lent a DVD box set. I quickly hit Amazon to get my own copy. Now I do crazy things like: when I see a Blue Sun t-shirt, I tell them they would look better in red. Someone says "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!" I reply "Ha ha ha! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die!" I'll just be walking down the hall in my yellow and orange pom-pom hat when someone will say "A man walks down the street in that hat, people know he's not afraid of anything," to which I reply "damn straight!" I also throw words like Gorram and shiny into casual conversation.

I enjoyed the Leaves on the Wind mini series, bought them online as they aren't available in paperback here, but I've pre-ordered the hard back edition from Amazon anyway. Looking forward to re-reading it once I get it.
