OMG same. All my friends absolutely hate reading, so I can never talk about books to them

It totally sucks! I wish I had at least one IRL friend who likes to read
That’s my problem too. NONE of my friends read. And my friends think I have no life just spending hours reading. But they don’t get it. and I get so offended when someone says that because reading IS life. It makes me so happy. I wish I could relate with someone who gets it in real life. But for now it’s only goodreads :(

I wish I had that nickname lol! My mom thinks I’m crazy reading so much. She ACTUALLY complains about me reading like it’s bad. At least I don’t go out and drink or party nonstop! I literally don’t get people AND family lol
I always think it's funny when I go out and sit to read a book in public and hear people whispering "wow she's reading a book. I never see people reading books anymore" as they walk by
I don’t know how people live day by day without reading. And I don’t know why people don’t find it common or normal nowadays to read!

My teacher actually praises me for reading he says he's proud of me for reading LOL
All of my teachers think I must be really smart cause of all the books I read.... lol little do they know

I’m actually really proud of some of my teachers this year because my English teacher is really encouraging reading this year and my physics teacher actually reads YA.

Haha agreed. Definitely brings up my imagination skills though 😂😂 For real though, sometimes I can’t get out of the book world when I’m in reality. My book boyfriends are better than real life and I get stuck between the two worlds 😂😂😂😂

HAHA my boyfriend thinks I’m insane. He thinks it’s not mentally ok for me to read about the guy in these books. And I told him these book boyfriends are my life 😂😂 he literally thinks I’m crazy. Oh well.

Scratch is a programming website I'm using for school. I do know a bunch of people who read.
You’re so lucky. I have no one I can buddy up with in real life and read with. There’s a few book clubs around her but the books they read aren’t ones I would. It’s more historical/documentary. I need new adult, young adult romance book clubs lol.

This week has been such a bad week. I thought that it was going well but then I just lost it and couldn't stand people anymore because people were saying that I ruin their life every time they hear my name and that im an imperfection in their lives that they don't need. It makes me feel really unimportant and unwanted in life. I don't even know who i am anymore. Help me.
Hey Karly I just read what you wrote. Please don’t listen to people. Can you tell me how old you are??? I used to be told so many nasty things when I was younger. I was always bullied. But I grew up to not listen to other people and only listen to those who actually care about me. Even to this day I sometimes wonder “who am I really??” I get lost in my own emotions and some days I feel worthless but the things that keep me going is what I have and how grateful and lucky I am. People are always going to be nasty and rude. But when you find the ones that care about you and make you laugh and cherish your soul, then those are the ones you need to keep close. Please if you want a friend or need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate on adding me or messaging me privately. You are not alone with these emotions. Everyone goes through it sometime in there lives!
Karly, in the words of the 11th doctor "I've never met anyone who wasn't important" you are important, you just have to find the people who can see it.
