I've not read much Horror but I want to nominate a book which is a great start for what is shaping up to be a great series. I believe this book started out as a joke but then Glen Duncan seemed to run with it.
The Last Werewolf is a fantastic take on the werewolf mythology; gritty, violent and over sexed. This wonderful novel follows the story of a man who thinks he is the last of the werewolves alive. I'm nominating this because it's a fantastic read and I highly recommend it and also I like the idea of a literary horror novel.

Sounds like an interesting read

Would something like Psycho work? Most people know it for Hitchcock's amazing film, but I don't think many have read the book, me included.
