The Dread
question
Ending a series--hard to say goodbye

The Dread wraps up an arc of 6 books in the Chronicles of the Necromancer/Fallen Kings Cycle series set in the Winter Kingdoms.
While I have other stories I want to tell in this world, with some of these characters, the story that began in The Summoner defnitely wraps up in The Dread.
Coming to an end of a long-running story arc is difficult for authors, and also difficult for readers.
So--which series have you read where you were happy with the conclusion? Unsatisfied? Left hanging?

Hi Gail,
I have traveled with you and our friends through the Winter Kingdoms since The Summoner first was released. I do hope you return to ell more of their stories or those of the children.
What I love the most about the series were the women. I love that they were real, and dealing with the same types of struggles. I have always love fantasy and sci-fi, but female characters seem to come up flat. Thank you for taking the time to truly build STRONG female characters.
