I loved the The House at Riverton. How are you finding it?

Nikkiplans99 | 68 comments I just discovered Kate Morton and have loved the two books of hers that I have read. Let me know how that one is, it's already on my to read list. I try not to read all of an authors books right away so if I find myself in a reading slump, I know I have good book to turn too.

Nikkiplans99 | 68 comments I just finished Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen. My first time reading (listening) to this author. I liked the book. It's not a hard hitting mystery but it's funny and worth a try to break up from more serious titles.

The kindle and e-readers in general are a beautiful thing but I kind of miss the books in every room of the house decor!

BTW-did England shut down for Easter. I miss David!

message 134: by Susan (new)

Susan Davis | 148 comments I love the books too. I seem to have my fair share of both. Some things I can only get on Amazon. You're right David hasn't posted.

I just finished The Outcast Dead as well, and I really enjoyed it. I rather thought this was a a "springboard" book - one in which old story lines are finished up while new ones are born. Really looking forward to the next one.

It sounds interesting, but this book is the 19th of the series and I lost the previous. Should be read all in chronological order?

Nikkiplans99 | 68 comments The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

THE ART OF LOVE IS NEVER A SCIENCE

MEET DON TILLMAN, a brilliant yet socially challenged professor of genetics, who’s decided it’s time he found a wife. And so, in the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a sixteen-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers.

Rosie Jarman is all these things. She also is strangely beguiling, fiery, and intelligent. And while Don quickly disqualifies her as a candidate for the Wife Project, as a DNA expert Don is particularly suited to help Rosie on her own quest: identifying her biological father. When an unlikely relationship develops as they collaborate on the Father Project, Don is forced to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie—and the realization that, despite your best scientific efforts, you don’t find love, it finds you.

--I'm trying something new this week. This was recommended to me by my mentor. It has excellent reviews so its worth a shot.
