I just discovered Kate Morton and have loved the two books of hers that I have read. Let me know how that one is, it's already on my to read list. I try not to read all of an authors books right away so if I find myself in a reading slump, I know I have good book to turn too.
Finished 3 mysteries. My local library had all three of them. 2 were new authors for me, they were goodreads recommendations.Voices,
Haunted Ground
Cambridge Blue
Really enjoyed Before I Go to Sleep by SJ Watson.

Before I Go To Sleep
I just finished Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen. My first time reading (listening) to this author. I liked the book. It's not a hard hitting mystery but it's funny and worth a try to break up from more serious titles.
Has anyone read Christopher Fowler and his series A Peculiar Crimes Unit mysteries? I might try them out.
After finished The Cuckoo's Calling, now I'm reading B is for Burglar, although I haven't read the first of this series.
I've just started Cuckoo by Julia Crouch, literally only about five chapters in, hope it's gonna b good.
I'm starting Full Dark House by Christopher Fowler and I'm almost done listening to The House at Riverton by Kate Morton.

Midnight RiotI just finished Midnight Riot (the title was changed for US release I guess). I'm not sure it totally fit Mystery's but its a good Mystery with a touch of fantasy.
I'm reading The Strange Death of Fiona Griffiths, by Harry Bingham. The 1st in the series was pretty good, the 2nd stank. Hope Harry (or maybe I mean Fi) is back to previous form.
Today I started Anansi Boys. I read some time ago American Gods and I'm curious to see if there are some references.
Just started reading Jo Nesbo's latest, Cockroachs. I know this is a English Mystery site but I also enjoy the Scandanavian authors.
Looks very interesting. Thanks for the info. Amazon has a great inventory of Scandanavien mysteries.
Just finished
and now reading
I love Elly Griffiths normally but this one fell a little short. I am really enjoying Exile
Just started Exile
by Denise MinaBook 2 of the Garnet Hill Trilogy. I am really enjoying it so far, can't put it down.
Just ordered this, luckily, my library is getting it. I have so many books to read on my kindle I think it's going to explode.I love all the suggestions.
It is such a treat to disicover a new author or series that you enjoy. I have a list of my old favorites and I like adding new names.

BTW-did England shut down for Easter. I miss David!
I love the books too. I seem to have my fair share of both. Some things I can only get on Amazon. You're right David hasn't posted.

Have a Happy Easter...:)
The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie Tommy and Tuppence no 1 Set in England after the First World War , so far more like a spy novel than a mystery
Fanficfan44 wrote: "I love Elly Griffiths normally but this one fell a little short."I just finished The Outcast Dead as well, and I really enjoyed it. I rather thought this was a a "springboard" book - one in which old story lines are finished up while new ones are born. Really looking forward to the next one.

It sounds interesting, but this book is the 19th of the series and I lost the previous. Should be read all in chronological order?
David wrote: "Well it depends. They can all be read alone as they are individual stories. The thing about reading them in order is you get to follow Rebus through his career and his ups and downs and getting ol..."
I think it would be a good idea begin with the first and go on.
Thanks.
THE ART OF LOVE IS NEVER A SCIENCE
MEET DON TILLMAN, a brilliant yet socially challenged professor of genetics, who’s decided it’s time he found a wife. And so, in the orderly, evidence-based manner with which Don approaches all things, he designs the Wife Project to find his perfect partner: a sixteen-page, scientifically valid survey to filter out the drinkers, the smokers, the late arrivers.
Rosie Jarman is all these things. She also is strangely beguiling, fiery, and intelligent. And while Don quickly disqualifies her as a candidate for the Wife Project, as a DNA expert Don is particularly suited to help Rosie on her own quest: identifying her biological father. When an unlikely relationship develops as they collaborate on the Father Project, Don is forced to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie—and the realization that, despite your best scientific efforts, you don’t find love, it finds you.
--I'm trying something new this week. This was recommended to me by my mentor. It has excellent reviews so its worth a shot.
I started few days ago Don Quixote, a little bit slow and, most you go on to know the protagonist, sad.
This was a great book and my husband just got finished reading it too. I had to skip some of the most gruesome parts. We're hooked.
In these days I started also Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders, a collection of stories by Neil Gaiman. Some are very creepy!!
Just finished Piece of My Heart by Peter Robinson. One of the best books I read this year.

My wife and I both have Kindle's but share the one account on Amazon as it is easier. I get to see books she buys..."
Sounds like everything a good book needs! I hope you do nominate it.
