why do you like fantasy?

You kind of said it. I love GOOD fantasy and getting into a world of make believe that seems so real I am living in it...or would like to. It is an escape even more than reading about contemporary real life. It probably is why I like historical fiction because it is going away to a world I do not live in (and if it has a supernatural twist, all the better!)

I like the escapist aspect. You can totally escape into someone else's world. Series are best. So are the books that focus on the human characters and their interactions more than the creatures that also inhabit their universe.
