I find with my option of Amazon that on the Marketplace the price has to be really low to warrant a 3 euros p&p per book as most books new on Amazon are around 6 euros with free postage !I did when we started the A-Z challenges pick up alot of books on Amazon Marketplace for 1 euro cent each ! ! So that made them 3.01 euros with postage !

Idea: Not a must but just an idea =D. If I can keep track of this. I would like to keep the bonuses going if they are not claimed each challenge. That way we can have more chances to "win". Again, if you find a book for the bonus please try and remember to list it so I can take it off the challenge and perhaps think of a new one. The book I bought (over a week ago) for the last bonus arrived in yesterday's mail. It's A Girl Named Summer by Julie Garwood. Just trying to finish The Hunt for Red October before I start reading it.

I still want to read "The Girl Named Summer" book for the bonus, but I'm out of the monster challenge. I couldn't pass up the first four Harry Potter books on cassette. Book 1 is open but all cassettes are there. Books 2, 3, and 4 are still sealed in plastic. The printed price on the back of each set of tapes is $35. I paid $1 for each audiobook!! Sorry, couldn't pass up that deal.
Ah. That's OK. This challenge keeps us honest about our buying habits that's for sure. You all were way way far ahead of me in the monster challenge anyway. lol I finally, after two weeks, finished The Hunt for Red October. That's only 469 pages. But I couldn't pass up 4 Harry Potter audio books for $1 each. And 3 were still sealed in plastic even.
It s funny b/c I am SO not a naval book/movie fan. I started watching Crimson Tide and had to leave in the middle of it. Then I had a chance to watch it again, and loved it! I even considered reading the book. How was Hunt for Red October?
The movie was excellent. The book... well, it was okay. Took me 2 weeks to read. It's full of military jargon. I was in the military for ten years, so I'm used to it, but I don't carry about specs on military subs, boats and aircraft. lol Slows reading down too. Men would probably enjoy the book more than I did. I loved the movie which is why I wanted to read the book. The book had alot more in it, but that also made it more confusing at times as this is very detailed and complex subject. He researched it almost too well its full of so much data. I'm really debating wether I'll read another Clancy novel now. lol I've never seen The Sum of All Fears but the novel is 700 pages or so. Clear and Present Danger is also over an inch thick for a paperback as is Without Remorse. I learned he's written a dozen or so Jack Ryan novels. I'd love to know what happened in them all but I can't sit through all the books and/or movies. lol (On the other hand, I do love some old military novels like The Dirty Dozen and Ice Station Zebra. Great movies too. I've got a few more military movie/books to read like The Guns of Navarone, Force 10 from Navarone and The Eagle Has Landed. I'm still looking for The Bridge Over the River Kwai and Where Eagles Dare.) I can't read military books all the time but every so often it makes for a nice change.

Bonus While we wait I figure I can start the bonus challenge. Anyone can start a bonus challenge anytime really. So we always have pages to count. Yay! I won't be able to participate for a while - big family reunion & reading time will be severely curtailed.

I will always look for used over new but if I cannot wait I will buy the book new. There are a few authors I have come to love and can't wait and sometimes I just have too many new books sitting there to justify another new release, lol.
