I'm way behind Jane, but I read the Magic Tree House books to complete other challenges and after I read them realized two fit the back in time bonus here. A good portion of the magic tree house books they travel in time. They are always transported somewhere, either in current time to different place, or back in time to say meet the dinosaurs or pirates.

The book I just started is set in Maine (no help there) in modern times (no help there either!), but I'm enjoying it, and it begins in October, so there might be a Thanksgiving celebration - will have to see if it's significant enough to count.

Maine used to belong to Massachusetts...if that helps.

Kate, Janet Evanovich wrote a book called Thanksgiving in which they actually celebrate Thanksgiving. Should be available at your library

Johanna Lindsey has Until Forever, which includes forward travel, but I don't remember if there's any traveling back in time
However, the following all have back-in-time travel:
Karen Marie Moning's Highlanders involve travel back in time, so they definitely fit the challenge. And of course, Gabaldon's books. Love both those series.
Also Linda Lael Miller - Here and Then and There and Now (I read the 1st, didn't read the 2nd)
Teresa Medeiros has Breath of Magic and Touch of Enchantment
And Nora Roberts' Circle trilogy has at least one book that involves traveling back.
But my very favorite is Son of the Morning by Linda Howard - I've read it at least 4x and will be reading it again and again - love that Black Niall!
