I guess I will have to sit out for the rest of the Cherry Blossom Tree challenge. I broke down and bought a few books :( I'll participate in the next one. Have fun!

I had to force myself to continue with this book , but am glad I did - the last 1/4 of the book was worth it. Phury has gotten cheated in so many ways in this series, including in this book, but at least the ending really was about him - and in a way that brought cry-for-happy tears to my eyes.

Murder, She Wrote - Trick or Treachery by Jessica Fletcher and Donald BainIt's late October in Cabot Cove, and as Halloween approaches, something strange is in the air. I only read 2 of 4 stories so I can't rate Honk if you love real men. I would give Lora Leigh's story a solid 5 though. I would buy the SEAL series to get more of her yummy SEAL men =D.

lol BJI only have one that I own, the Murder She Wrote one. The others I scrouged from my search of the local public library. I havn't won a challenge yet. Perhaps if I get double credit for page counts I can catch up and pass y'all. lol
I read one children's book on the history of Halloween/All Hallows Eve (Oct 31), All Saint's Day (Nov 1) and All Soul's Day (Nov 2). One children's book (Horrible Harry) that was cute. And one YA book (The Nightmare Room) that was absolutely terrible. (A teacher invites 4 students aged 12 to his house for a halloween party, kidnaps them and locks them inside and has them play "games" that are tests to find out who is a werewolf. Would scare my 9 year old if he read that one.) The adult halloween themed mysteries are probably much better, but not sure if I'll have time to get to the others since I still have alot of challenge books to read and the month is running out.
Yes! I am reading book Storm Born that mentions Samhain [A pagan holiday celebrated on Oct. 31:] also knows to us as Halloween. So that will count as double when/if I finish during this challenge, since I've already been reading it.
I wrote a Halloween themed horror story but I don't think that would count if I re-read it, would it? LOL!
