recommendation for some thing really spooky

Hi I want to read a book that's really spooky and romantic like Dracula but it should be contemporary.Please help

I'm not sure if it'd class as romantic, but creeped me right out. If I remember rightly there is a little romance there, but that's a bit like saying that a horror movie has romance in.

Amanda Stevens has a great series that is creepy at times and has romance in it as well.


If you like YA (more New Adult really) I highly recommend this series, very creepy and lots of romance.

This isn't really contemporary, but 'A Clockwork Orange'. Most disturbing book EVER.
