Question: can I read anything for the challenge or does it have to be a Lisa Kleypas or a historical romance book?

They're connected to September either because I bought them in the summer and wanted to read them in September. I'd add more, but I will still be attempting to complete my Summer challenge with these plus those, it's plenty enough already.
I made a Back to School Challenge, too!!! September 1st thru June 30th
I noticed that Dhestiny! Too long term for me. I'm fickle in my book reading, books go on a list and then sit there while new books get attention. My poor unfortunate to-read list lol Do you know it's nearly 200 books long?

I haven't yet tried Judith Ivory though I keep hearing great things about her.
Oh, I've been meaning to try that one, Zumbagirl. I actually checked it out via download from our library, but they had it mixed up with
so I returned it. They have since sent me an e-Mail saying they've fixed it...but I haven't gotten around to it. GTK, you liked it!
Just couldn't help myself, I pre-ordered a Kindle Paperwhite! Now, I have a bunch of borrowed books that only work on my current Kindle that I need to hurry up and read! So... my challenge for September is to read my borrowed Kindle books.WLLK - September's Build Your Own Challenge

I also like the whiter display with more contrast & higher resolution. I do most of my reading at night, so the adjustable built in light will be awesome.
I currently have the kindle Touch with the lighted cover & I have to read holding the kindle upright to avoid having the light shine in my eyes. That won't be a problem with the Paperwhite!
The new "Time to Read" feature sounds pretty cool. It calculates how long it will take you to finish your chapter.
I also ordered the new cover to go with it, the cover wakes up & puts the Kindle to sleep when you open & close it... no more having to turn it on or off. I feel like a kid at Christmas time, can't wait to get it! :)

Oh...good question, Zumbagirl. I love the first three in the Rutledge Family series; have the forth, but haven't read it.
But, I liked all of the ones I read, especially her earlier ones.
Geeze...I hope they aren't too dated now. My reading preferences have certainly changed over the years.

Rules:If it reminds you of September, it counts. You can't begin reading before September 1st and must be completed reading no later than September 30th in order for the book to count.
You can list your books at any time and update your books as you go, but they can only count if they are read during the challenge.
Examples: If the book you're reading has: Kids going back to school, mention of Fall or Fall colors on the cover, was published in September or in the Fall, or even if it reminds you of September because you read it in September, it can count! The key is, if it makes YOU think of September, that's all that matters.
