Martha: I tried every dye I could, but the material from the ship doesn't change colors. In the long run it's a good thing... people will be looking at the colors instead of your face.
Clark: Wouldn't it be easier if I had a mask or something?
Martha: Yes it would, but you can't ever wear a mask.
Clark: Why not?
Martha: When people can see what you can do, when they see how powerful you are, they're going to be terrified. A mask would only add to that. They'll need to see your face, so they can see there's no evil in it. To see the gentleness and decency in you... and know they have nothing to fear. The mask... the mask is what you'll have to wear the rest of the time.

From the end of the first arc in Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Long Way Home there is a Crowning Moment of Awesome when the bad guy threatens Buffy and all of her friends:
Bad guy: You've upset the balance, girl. Do you really think we were going to sit by and let you create a master race?
Buffy: This isn't about demons at all, is it? It's about women. It's about power and it's about women and you hate those two words in the same sentence, don't you?
Bad guy: You think it's only men who want to bring you down? You're not human. You've been to war with the demons, with the First, but believe me you picked the wrong side.
'Cause God help us, if you win then you'll decide the world still isn't the way you want it and the demon in you will say just one thing: "slay"
We're not waiting for that to happen. We will wipe you out. Not just monsters any more. It's you against the world. You're at war with the human race.
Buffy [looks shocked]: Oh.
[Buffy looks left]
[Buffy looks down]
[Buffy looks back up - she's pissed]
Buffy: 'Kay.

I also learned in Y the Last Man the actual lyric in Bowie's Fame when Yorick says "Bully for you, chilly for me"
