OMG I loved this book and all the characters. I can't wait to go out and get the next one. What can I say about Kerrick the one word that comes to mind is yummy. I love Roane's take on vampires and her story line.

○Review: Sierra and Marc had a bad childhood, they both grew up without a father. For Sierra, her father left her and her mother early on and never came to visit. Marc's father was physically there but he was a bad father, mentally abusing him and his mother. They did not believe in love, and the funny part was that Sierra lives in a town called Love. That is where Marc travelled to to stop his mother from remarrying a man he does not know. He is a business mogul from LA and Sierra owns a dating internet company in Love. They are opposites that are attracted to each other, and it was nice to see how their relationship progressed. It was a good book that made me smile.

Review: I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked it and it kept my interest most of the time, but I wasn't a fan of all the swearing. I haven't decided if I will read the rest of the series.

○Review: This book made me laugh out loud! I love how Curran always gets the best of Kate even though she's bad ass! I loved it!

Week 5: Wheel

Book: Midnight Warrior by Iris Johansen.
Completed: 10/5/12 ♥♥♥♥

Review: Its my first medieval romance by the author, although I have read other books by her. It was a usual historical romance, but a bit better than the others because it did not have rape/force between the hero and heroine, but a definite love/hate relationship in the beginning. The heroine is outspoken and defiant and stands up to the hero. You would think that means this is going to be a perfect 5 star book, but the heroine makes sure that it can never be. My pet peeve in a heroine is usually a dumb heroine but I hate heroines who are smart, strong and make completely illogical decisions that just makes the reader want to shake them. Brynn is that heroine. She lets her husband severely beat her because she does not want a confrontation between the hero and her husband. Another is, she wants to go back to the island she was born in, because its peaceful but hasn't been there since she was 9 and refuses to think that things could have changed and not be the same and all her memories are from a child's perspective, but she is adamant in her denial. I can go on and on but her other various acts that just had me shaking my head. Because of the heroine, I think this books lack a 5 star rating. I really liked the hero, it might have started out with lust, but he falls for her and is willing to do absolutely anything for her. He wants to marry her, have kids, etc. which we know usually is not the way historical/medieval romance heroes are. The secondary characters are very good, I just love Malik. The author does a very good job writing and for that reason I couldn't give this book a low rating even though I was beginning to hate the heroine.

No I haven't started that series...but I have found a shelf for celebrity and there are lots of books, but most books I would want to read are part of a series, but I am trying to avoid starting up more series, since I have so many in progress. But worst comes to worst, I'm going to pick one of them, and hopefully I can take out Smoke as well and if Kim ends up reading something with that. We should be good to go with multiple items.

○Review: This started off as a really sad story, it was a emotional one for me. I sympathize with both Nicole and Gabe's situation, but at the same time I was kind of mad at Gabe. I understand he needs time to grieve the loss of his wife and son, but that shouldn't be a reason for him to be a inconsiderate jerk to Nicole. I'm glad in the end that Gabe was able let go off his guilt, and became a real man for Nicole and their unborn twins. It was a great book, can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Review:
The book is about a rock star who is trying to change his life for the better after leaving his band because of a close call with his health. He goes to New Zealand and enrolls in the University where he meets the heroine who is a librarian. She spars with him and doesn't treat him like a celebrity like everyone else does. Both hero and heroine have their problem which they work to sort out.

○Review: I love Merecedes, but I wasn't as impressed with this book than I was with the other ones. My favorite is still Iron Kissed, but I liked Sam's plot line in this book. Will definately start the next one ASAP.

I have two different books for Metropolitan & Forest and depending on the item called on Friday, I'll decide which one to use. Lately, the items called are for things majority of us have already claimed. So depending on that, I will let you know which item I can help you out with Metro or Forest.
