Excited for this challenge to start. I played last round and it was lots of fun. I cant remember what needs to be done as team captain. I think you post our reviews and items we selected in one post each week.
I am participating in 2 other weekly challenges so I will take a pass on throwing my name in for captain. Finishing off SOS Bingo & starting TCF Words with GR Friends &TCF Lets get this Party started. I am hoping my books chosen will work for at least two challenges at a time.

Think I will need to design my own spreadsheet to keep track. Its going to be a busy fall.

Where is everyone from? What time zones? I from Canada, Calgary Alberta. So MST. Right now it is 6:30am. Looking forward to some interesting reviews and getting to know you.

I am on GR all the time so I don't mind being team captain. I also have two other team challenges going on but if I am not working I am reading so we will see if I can manage through September!

Just checking in on you all. I so didn't realize both Megans were on the same team. That might get confusing. good thing for the "L". :)

The team captain in this challlenge does a lot less than other team challenges I've seen. Really just because I haven't come up with a way to easily report all the items each week.

I'll check in often and add items earned to the spreadsheet. The team captain just needs to keep a tally of the items too so they can double check me to make sure I don't miss something. And to report in if there are any problems. I check in but sometimes I skim. :(

I don't think I want to be team captain. I'm not sure I'll have the time for it. Plus, keeping track of all those items kind of scares me a little. I'm not positive I can get online every day to check things.

I'm a little nervous. I was on Team 1 last time, and we got last place. Oh well. New game, new items. Let's win! :-)

Hehe. I was thinking that I sorta liked Item Collectors, but that maybe it was missing something. Then, Dawn said ONEderful Item Collectors. I like it.

And now, I've changed my mind about captaining this great treasure hunt. If either Megan or Megan L. don't care, I could be captain. I'm not participating in any other challenges, plus I played last round. That way you two could just sit back and play your first time rather than having to captain when you've never played before. Plus, if I'm captain, I actually have to post more often.

But, I'm cool with whatever. Just let me know.

If you can be the team captain, I think it's great! That way the captain will definitely know what they're doing (even though I think I understand the rules pretty well, I haven't played before and could be wrong). If you want me (or Megan L. if she wants) to be co-captain(s) (or vice-captain(s)) and help out where need be, just let me (us) know - I am more than willing to help out. That is, assuming it's okay with Megan L. ;)

This weekend we had 40 celcius degrees it was very hot but they announced 30 degrees for the next month and in the middle-end of september fall shoud come:)anyway i hope not yet because saturday i want to go at the seaside a few days, haven't got time until now as i was working in an internship.

i am not sure how we should plan our reading :-? any ideas?

i mean i can look in the title, cover color, i can guess what will the subject be...but i am sure i have 4 specific items?

Ana, in the past games I usually picked a book based on the item called and then as I read listed the other items I found and then after I was done reading I decided which of the other items I found were what I thought of as harder to find. For example, I read a lot of paranormal books, so blood is almost always in a book I read so I would save that one for last if I can help it. While smoke or glitter might be harder to find in every book I would claim them first. It really depends on what type of books you generally read.

did i mention i will be at the seaside a few days?i will leave on saturday and i will be back on wensday so i will be able to report only thursday.
i have a few books on my TBR pile so friday when the item is announced i'll choose one of the books and pack it because beach is a good place for reading and i hope i can find 4 good items:)

If someone could post what the first item is in here for our group to make it easy to find, I would really appreciate it. I have to go to work before the item is announced. I would guess that Dawn will post it in the General Discussion thread for the game, but I don't know for sure. I just figure if someone posts it in here, we'll all definitely see it since it's our group thread. So, if someone can help me out, that would be great. :-D
