Darn, I was thinking Gen from The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner, but I don't think he's magical. Dang!
All good guesses, but nope! Lisarenee was on the right track earlier, though.1. I am a murderer.
2. I have magical abilities.
3. I was not executed for my crime, but I know that I might die soon, for I risk my life daily to protect another's.
4. I was once an acrobat.
Oh oh, it's the Soulfinder.... Ugh I didn't read them but my friend was telling me about them last year and I don't know their names!!!
Yep, Lisarenee. You're right! I tried to pick something most people would have read, but I seem to be bad at this game...Your turn. :-)
Bah, that's the one she was telling me about! At least I was right even in my lack of detailed knowledge. ;)Fun game!
Glad you're joining us, Steven! I wish more people would play this one. And I recommend Poison Study, if you like fantasy and YA. I've yet to read the sequels, though.
If only there were some way to get paid a small amount for every page read... I'd quit my job and read all those books! :D
That would be a dream job, definitely! Steven, do you want to take a turn, since Lisarenee's being a slow-poke? ;-)
Sure!!!! Gimme one minute. Gotta come up with a list of clues. Already have a character in mind.I'll start with:
1. I am the last of my kind.
Hmm. Well, I have no idea if you've read these books, but I'm going to guess Atticus from the Iron Druid Chronicles.
I have not read those, but they've been mentioned a few times on here (I've read back through some) so I'll have to add those too :)1. I am the last of my kind.
2. My typical clothing, a flowing white dress, reflects my standing.
1. I am the last of my kind.2. My typical clothing, a flowing white dress, reflects my standing.
3. My entire life entails devotion to my cause -- to reveal truth, no matter the cost.
Kahlan Amnell who's a confessor from Sword of Truth series? (I've only seen the tv show not read the books :-P )Edit: I guess she doesn't turn out to be the last...but for awhile she thought she was or something, right? I don't remember.
Yes that is right!!! Kahlan Amnell! In the books (or at least the first, all I've had a chance to read so far), she is the last. I loved the TV show :)
My other clues were:
4. I am called Mother, even though I am childless (since she's the Mother Confessor).
5. My power is feared greatly, and I rarely experience the touch of another human -- at least not by their choice.
6. My eventual husband carries a mighty sword.
7. I travel with a wizard, a woods guide, and occasionally, a former torturer.
That's the only one I've recognized enough to guess and I haven't even read the book. I love love love her dress in the show soooo much though! I want one!
Yes, she is one of my favorite (if not THE favorite) female characters ever. She's so kickass. And gorgeous! And good to the core! :)
Guess that makes it my turn. This one will either be really easy or really hard depending on if you've read the book :-P1. I uncovered a conspiracy.
I realize that one could be a lot of people :-P1. I uncovered a conspiracy.
2. I wear sunglasses all the time.
Sonia wrote: "BladeOh wait, there isn't a book about Blade, or there is?"
I don't know. One of the BDB guys wears sunglasses doesn't he?
Georgia Mason from Feed? :DBy the way, I loved Legend of the Seeker when it was on. Haven't read the books, but I was sad to see the TV series go.
Mary got it!My other clues were going to be:
I'm a blogger
I worked on a presidential campaign.
I evade zombies daily.
Grats Mary!
Haven't heard of Feed... Will have to look into it!Mary, I loved the first book and the tv series. I'll be reading more as soon as I can finish some galleys I have and some horror books for a challenge I joined!

It's really good. Long but good.
Love, love, love Feed and its sequels. Can someone else take a turn? I won't be able to be on GR for a while and it won't be very fun if I give you a clue and make you wait until tomorrow for the next one.
Good guess!1. I'm extremely wealthy.
2. I own a fancy Manhattan apartment, an old waterfront brownstone, and a plantation house.
Okay! I'll go ahead and post the third one and check back before I hit the hay.3. My family tree is full of murderers, insane people, carnies, con artists, and the like.
So We've got:1. I'm extremely wealthy.
2. I own a fancy Manhattan apartment, an old waterfront brownstone, and a plantation house.
3. My family tree is full of murderers, insane people, carnies, con artists, and the like.
No idea. Hmmmm.
I'll copy and paste them all together when I get back to a computer... Currently on my phone!4. While I usually buck authority (because clearly I know better), I have enough clout to get to choose the cases I want to take - usually the weird fringe cases like the Museum Murders, the Surgeon killer, or Voudou Zombie attacks.
Yay! I actually haven't read any of them, but a friend has been pushing me to read them. 1. I am a wanted man.
Oh you definitely definitely should read them. A few of them are meh, but most of them are great! :)
