The Kite Runner
question
Do you think that Amir is at peace with the past?

Many readers might disagree, but I feel as though Amir came to terms with the past. In the last few pages when Amir was running the kite for Sohrab he said "For you a thousand times over" this seems to be a closure for Amir. He might not have made the best decisions in his past, but adopting Sohrab is one he can feel good about withoutany regret. He did it not only for Hassan, but for himself. Amir didn't find Sohrab, Sohrab found him through the will of Hassan. Everything happens for a reason.

Whether he was at peace yet or not, I think he was getting there.
Amir might not be at peace at last but the least he could do clear his conscience. He adopted Sohrab in order to trounce his deeds of the past. He had always been a victim of cowardice but when the courage to face the Talib superseded him, it was too late, Hassan had no more existence in the world.
i agree with Shivani. At least we can be satisfied with Amir, as readers, that he finally did a good thing, by adopting Hassan's son.
nooo, i think it's not gonna that easy for Amir, maybe it will haunt him for the rest of his life. but yes, he will find something new between himself and Sohrab which represent the past between he and Hassan. so, i think he'll be okay at last...
our past is the lesson for our future... :)
