Replacing Book Covers
I'll work on these, since they are simply higher resolution image replacements.
As for why you weren't helped before, I have no idea. I agree they are all the same images only better quality and without the logo at the bottom being cropped off.These should al be good now.

I agree they needed updating.I downsized them a little so they load faster on other devices, but since it has a max viewing size, there is no need for them to be super big (over 500 pixels tall).

That's what it's there for, Goddammit.
If an author or publisher doesn't put a nice cover on their book it just shows me that they don't really care if I'm going to buy the book or not.
Even if they are self published, hire a friend of someone who does commissions if you suck at art.I REALLY hate the stock photos that you see on unprofessional books that have been poorly photoshoped together.
I agree, if you can't bother to put on a good cover, make it simple. You have a better chance of me buying it if it is plain color than crappy photoshop work.
Dear Librarian,I'm a new goodreads author who finds that the cover icon to his newest book does not show the current cover online. This is likely because before I was a goodreads author, I uploaded a working cover before the commercial design was issued. Could you please replace it with the finished commercial design? It should come with the download from amazon.com. Please search ISBN-13: 978-1478377092 , ANTHONY IN THE DESERT by G. Roger Denson Just in case, here's the ASIN: B008HMIK1Y . The Kindle cover is the same, so either download will give you the proper icon.

It seems odd that someone could have uploaded a cover last month if it was not being sold with that cover.

You would need to create an alternate cover edition: http://www.goodreads.com/librarian_ma...
We don't remove old covers, since readers prefer to shelve the copy that shows the cover they own. The default is the most-shelved copy...so as the new ones are shelved, they should become the default.
Please add the new book covers to your "More Pictures" on your profile and let us know. We will create new editions.When those are shelved more they will become the default.
I created the alternate new listing- but now there's a new review that doesn't show under either.
There is a cache on the book page, someone had entered duplicate edition of the book under an incorrect author profile so it can take up to 72 hours for the cache to reset. Check in a day or two. I refreshed the stats also in an attempt to force a refresh

LOL. No problem I did delete one you upoaded to upload a downsized version, since the system still reads how big the image is even though it has a maximum VIEWING size. This helps for web devices.If it's over 500 pixels high I will always downsize it since the system will still read the 1024 pixel one, but downsize it to a viewing field. This is just more work for the system and web devices still have to read the higher res image.
That's just me.

Good morning librarians!I've had problems with my book covers since joining Goodreads as an author. My husband had to upload the cover images through his account in order for them to appear (the author dashboard wouldn't let me do it myself).
Now I have significantly changed the covers for all three books. You can see the original covers here:

We don't replace covers, instead we create alternate cover editions. Also we can't take the images from bookseller sites. Please provide a link to a non-bookseller (such as a publisher or author site) and one of us will upload it.

I should probably justify as to why I feel these covers aren't good enough, because a simple appeal wasn't sufficient. The pixels on this image are huge, the white banner is yellow, and it's been cropped on all sides. Here is the new version:

For some reason, the librarian who tried to help me before felt that the cover was of a different edition. The book is the same, but the one in place is just THAT atrocious. The logo at the bottom is even cropped off! Here's what the book actually looks like:
