Carmesia Straite | 11 comments Hey y'all! For book 2 of the Fifty Shades trilogy, Fifty Shades Darker, Shannon wanted to try something a little different with the discussion piece. Next, I'll post two questions about the book but would really like to have more of a open discussion about the book in general. Also, feel free to respond to another member's post about the book.

Let's get the dialog started with these questions:
1. How did you like Book 2 in comparison to Book 1?

2. Given Ana's insecurities, do you think she will ever be able to fully love Christian without constantly doubting that she is enough for him?

Well. No one seems to have much to say, so I'll assume we will have to stop the club again. Thanks for those who did participate. Happy Reading

Carmesia Straite | 11 comments :( can we keep announcing books to read at least? i have to admit it is hard to comment about the book after you finish reading as opposed to during the read. i dont know how to make the discussion different to account for that.

Eboni (ebonifiyah) | 3 comments well, i have something to say!!

I read Book 1 and 2 back to back and honestly - by the end of book 2 I was way oversexed. I mean, the eroticism of the sex scenes is AMAZING and gives really great ideas for some hot and heavy romance...but it started to get to be too much.

Ana's insecurities are a little annoying as well, but then I have to remind myself that she is only what? 21? And this is her first love. And her first sex partner. So, these types of reactions are definitely to be expected.

Imagine if your first sex partner was this uber experienced dude into all types of kinky shit?! Yeah - can you say TURNT OUT...I get it.

Book 2 was better than book one to me but hopefully Book 3 will have more of a story line.

Hope (ebonyreader) | 8 comments I, too, have something to add. I just finished the book on this week. I admit, I had to take a break while reading Book 2 and pick up something else. I need more of a storyline other than the hot and heavy sex between Ana and Christian.

I didn't really like Book 1 any better than Book 2 or vice versa. I think I rated both of them a 3. I am still shocked at how popular these books are.

I think that once Ana and Christian spend more time together, her insecurities will diminish. Their relationship has moved pretty quickly and now their engaged. Yet, both of them admit that they don't really "know" each other. So...that should be interesting.

I'm looking forward to Book 3 though...in light of the way that Book 2 ended. Jack sounds like he's getting ready to bring it! LOL.

I hope that we continue with the group, Shannon.
